Young Hollywood. Hey guys, Erica Ross here for Young Hollywood in the studio today with the Far East Movement. All right, I am here with the Far East Movement. You guys have had some mega hits like a G6. Rocketeer, Girls on the Dance Floor. How would you describe your music?

Our music, uh, rewired. You know, a lot of it is inspired by, you know, growing up off more of a playlist type of mentality when it comes to listening to music and being a fan of music. So we would take that to the studio and mash up dance, electronic, alternative rock, hip hop. Blending that all together and you know, that's kind of where the diversity of Rocketeer and Mega G6 came from.

Now you guys are originally from LA. What are some of your favorite like restaurants, uh, clubs?

Ooh, it depends. Yeah. Taco House number one. Gotta show. Yeah, Taco House number one. Yeah. Yeah, Taco House.

Now before you guys came in here, you were talking about Popeye's for lunch.

Yeah, us too. Red beans and rice. I mean you can get that anywhere though. You you get that. We got that in Hong Kong for crying out loud. So I mean, out here in LA you got to do tacos.

All right, now you guys have a new album coming out. When will it be released? We've all been anticipating it, waiting.

Well, you know the exact date. What are you doing? What are you doing? What are you doing? Oh. We just finished it. Um, we were just got off tour with Lil Wayne and took out a second bus. Pressed to finish it and we're looking early 2012. That's all we can say, but we promise it's stacked full of incredible collabs. It's bringing you that G6, Girls on the Dance Floor sound but you know, just taking that further and um, it's new album time, yo. Let's get it.

I'm loving Jello. Thank you. Tell me a little bit about that. Tell me the meaning behind that song cause I think it's just about big Butonkadonk.

Well, you hit it on the head. I mean, let's keep it real. Let's keep it straightforward. Let's all turn around. No, I'm just kidding. We just wanted to kind of give you a taste of what you heard before, but on another level, Jello is just shaking that dirty base. And of course, you know, it's a food product, but not in this sense.

You, who has the best dance moves? I know this is gonna be up for debate.

Rob will say, Not even any debate. I just gotta do the against the boot, you know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? Go to a show. We in Inglewood right now. You know, I'm just keeping it real, you know what I'm saying?

All right, it is no uh, secret that you guys are big partyers. What is your drink of choice?

Well, it depends. So like if you start, when you start the night off, you gotta make sure everybody's kind of up. And from what we what we've noticed, either a nice glass of bubbly or a couple shots of tequila get you up, you know? So that way all inhibitions are thrown out. That's how we used to do it though. Get get it up.

And how do you do it now?

We don't do it right like that no more. Our new thing is before we go to any club, if we get booked for a spot, they have to have Jello shots for us. Oh, really? But we're we're we're gonna request so that there's enough for everybody in the audience because we want to make sure everyone's partying like we do. We don't believe in the distance of VIP and and crowd. So, you know, he'll be up in the crowd, wilding out with the tray of shots, just passing them out. And you know, that's the vibe. He's just keeping it keeping it with the people. So Jello shots it is.
