What's up, guys? Leslie Robbins here for Young Hollywood, coming to you from Amarin Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, home ice for the 2024 Stanley Cup Final. It's the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers, and the Cats are going for their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. Let's get to it. How 2500 miles plus between Edmonton and Sunrise, Florida, what are you doing on the plane to pass the time?

Guest

We spent a lot of time on that plane. Um we're one of the most traveled teams in the league. Um so it's only fitting that we're going to play in the front of this Stanley Cup Final of all time. So, um we spent a lot of time on that plane, honestly. Uh but we have a good time with those guys. You know, playing cards, or guys who are playing Switch, or guys who are just napping. We actually, we have a card table, so uh I sit at the card table and uh play a little poker with the guys. So, um I'm sure there'll be uh you know, some some good games uh played on the on the on the on the plane and um I'm sure we'll have to sleep a little bit as well because it's it's going to be a long flight. Second guest: I'm just going to play poker. That's it. Third guest: Reading uh World War II historical fiction and I'm playing Prince of Persia on my Switch and I'm watching I watched uh the new Wonka movie. That's a full recap right there. Fourth guest: Nothing too crazy. A lot of a lot of cards. Uh there's a there's a A- A- table playing cards and there's a B- table. Uh the A- table is obviously like more veteran guys and then uh they actually are at the table and myself and kind of like our younger crew who are playing cards and like just in our seats in front of it. So. Fifth guest: We usually just take that time to relax and uh just like do nothing. Sixth guest: We got a really good group of guys uh on the plane that play cards together. There's like eight or nine of us. Um and then a lot of guys, you know, watch their shows. A couple of guys read books. Um well, yeah, uh the plane ride goes by pretty quick when you're uh having fun with your teammates. Seventh guest: Probably making fun of Nick Cousins. Uh watching TV shows, maybe a little sleeping, um and probably more making fun of Nick Cousins. Eighth guest: Yesterday was it was a long day. Um it was a ton of fun. Uh I watched my show, I fell asleep, got up, watched some shows. And uh we landed. Had a few meals in between. Ninth guest: Yeah, it'll be a challenge, but at the same time, especially for Edmonton, with our travel and the way that we the way that we have to go over to East quite a bit, it's um it'll be uh you know, just like another day.

Young Hollywood

Well, you've officially gone Hollywood. You're Young Hollywood now. And so being on the biggest stage in sports right now. What is Hollywood about you, if anything?

Guest

What's Hollywood about me? Not much. Not much at all. Um um just a normal Canadian kid. I don't have too much Hollywood in me. Um I'm not sure. Maybe uh maybe the big mustache I can grow. I'm not sure. Second guest: Bennett's mustache. He's got that little twirl at the end, so I mean that's just that's a great muzzy. Um I think for me, I'd have to go mustache for sure. Um besides that, maybe the hair. Maybe the hair flip. I do the hair flip every once in a while. Third guest: Oh my gosh. Absolutely nothing probably, so This is new for me. Fourth guest: Yeah, Bennett said his mustache. Yeah, he's got like a 1970s Hollywood mustache, not not so much anymore. Fifth guest: I would say nothing. I'm a pretty simple guy. Um love to be a dad, love to be a husband, stay at home and uh play hockey. Sixth guest: I think maybe I'd say my my hair, my flow. I like to think I got good flow but uh Yeah, sure. I kind of sometimes I I rock like a soft mullet sometimes, but it's kind of just long and greasy right now, but when it's when it's fresh, it's usually pretty nice. Seventh guest: Other than my linemate Dylan Hollywood Holloway. Um I mean there's a lot of things that I would consider Hollywood about me when it comes to this league in the NHL, even just with what I'm wearing right now, right? I don't think anybody's wearing anything but their uh NHL hoodie. So I thought I'd dress for the occasion and dress for the Florida weather.

Young Hollywood

And then you got to walk me through your tattoos cuz they're out in the open now. Seventh guest: Oh, I don't know if I can walk you through them all, but yeah, I got uh I got the city of Vancouver here um where I was born and raised. I got my birthday, my parents' initials, uh and my sister's initials. I got uh my daughter Eva's footprints, so yeah, I got a couple of cool ones. Eighth guest: Um I don't know. I don't really have much, to be honest. I don't think I'm Hollywood at all, so I don't know. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

You talked about your hair growth. How are you feeling about your playoff beard? Are you happy with it? Um do you want to trim? Or what was it going on?

Guest

Yeah, it's I mean, it's starting it's getting to the point where it it needs a little love. Um it could use a little trim, but um yeah, it's it's all part of the uh the goal. Um to play this long and get, you know, it's a privilege you have to grow your beard for this long. So, um, you know, I'm still enjoying it. Second guest: Yeah, it feels great. Uh I'm not a beard guy, but uh I have to do it for the for the Cup and yeah, it's getting getting pretty long. That's good. Third guest: Yeah, mine's not anything to write home about, but uh just let it go. Fourth guest: Well, it it is what it is, you know, like again, it's it's as you get older, the beard get get longer too, so uh yeah, it's it's a fun tradition. You see like everybody is with with the long beard. That that that means a good things.

Young Hollywood

Looks like you've trimmed yours. It looks very manicured and and kept, it does. Fifth guest: Yes. doesn't feel very manicured, I'm not going to lie. But thank you, I take that as a compliment.

Young Hollywood

Well, your playoff beard, do you think that's Hollywood? Fifth guest: Uh, I could do some work.
