Young Hollywood. What's up? Hey guys, it's Michelle Marie with Young Hollywood. We are here on the set of a music video with Jason Derulo. Oh wow. Oh. Haven't they doing voice training? Wow. I know, I know. It's beautiful. It's That's your thing though. I know that every single time I hear the Jason Derulo. What's up with that? Is that something that you've always thought of doing before you started?

No, not really. I don't actually didn't put that much thought into it. I just, you know, did it and I I guess it just really, really caught on.

Let's hear it from you. Jason Derulo. So that's all about. Much better than me. So we are here on the set of your video for Riding Solo. Now, tell me more about the concept behind this today.

Riding Solo was about uh, you know, celebrating being single, celebrating life, you know, on your own. You know, it's it's okay to be by yourself. You don't always have to be, you know, with somebody. And it's and it's also like self-empowerment. You know, like even aside from, you know, relationship. You know, it's it's about, you know, being true to yourself and and believing in yourself. You know. Um and it's the perfect summer jam. You know, it makes you want to put your roof down and just celebrate yourself.

We're on the set of your video, which is say. So as you can see, we got some rope action right here. Check this out. This is crazy. This is a very, very expensive camera, guys. It says Jason Derulo right here. Did I make it? This is crazy. The other video was a little similar. You had the whole LED light thing going on with the girl. Tell us more about the concept and like the actual scenes that are going on today.

Um, this video is really special because I actually uh, co-wrote the treatment. We're doing a a a big uh, dance sequence um, behind like a huge LED screen. Um, you know, and it just spells out S O L O. And uh, we just this is gonna be a lot of high energy dancing. So I'm first, you know, in in the somber mood like, you know, just got out of a bad breakup kind of thing. And then, you know, I realized that I'm okay alone. Exactly. Um, and then, you know, I come to the club, you know, it's high fashion, you know, a lot of sexy uh, lingerie things going on, masks. It's just gonna be yeah.

So speaking of high fashion, you look great today. So tell me about this whole outfit outfit you have on.

Well, um, I got these uh, shoes from Japan, you know. And um, I have some suspenders on. You know, this is this is really Jason Derulo out.

Not only are is your solo career blowing up, but you also are a really huge hitmaker in the game right now. I mean, you're working with so many different artists. What is it like when you approach the creative process for yourself, writing a song for yourself versus writing for someone else?

Um, when I'm writing for myself, uh, you know, I just, you know, basically dive into uh, you know, what I'm feeling at that that specific time. Um, when I'm writing for somebody else, you know, it's it's more like I take what they do and what their fans love them for, um, and do that and then just add my stamp to it.

Your career is really just gotten really huge the past couple years. What's maybe one moment you could say that stands out the most in the past year that's happened to you? I know you've been on tour with Lady Gaga and so much.

Yeah, but, um, you know, I'm I'm not really about like accolades and um, you know, all the awards and stuff like that. You know, I think that the biggest thing for me is when I get like fan mail and um, you know, people say stuff like, my brother's deathly ill, but whenever we listen to your music, Jason, we forget that he's sick. Or your music has brought my marriage back together. You know, stuff like that is is the biggest for me. You know, it really, really touches me and inspires me, you know, to to even do better and um, you know, to to continue to grow.
