P-Pop's SB19 Play Heads Up & Reveal How Much They Love Their Fans

About this video
P-Pop (aka Pinoy Pop), a genre of contemporary music originating in the Philippines, has been gaining worldwide momentum in the last decade or so, and one of the groups leading the way is the incredibly talented boy band SB19! On the scene since 2018, the Manila-based 5-some went through training and formation similar to many of our favorite K-Pop artists, and the results speak for themselves! During their stop in L.A. for their international 'Where You At Tour', Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh sat down with Young Hollywood so we could get to know them a little better! Find out what they love best about L.A., the inspiration behind their comeback single "WYAT (Where You At)", their tour must-haves, and which one of them takes the longest to get ready, plus they play a game of "Heads Up"!

What's up guys? We are with a young Hollywood. I'm Justin I'm Pablo, I'm josh and I'm still and we are s 3 19, let's go weather weather, weather, weather and the scenery, the scenery, the mountains from Glendale where we're staying at, we can see the mountains and the clouds are really clear here. Very peaceful place and I love walking every morning. Yeah the weather is very nice and the scenery is very nice, everything is nice and we had a news last night that uh like coyote outside so we're looking for it. We did not see the kot last night, so sad but since we we went from new york we were from new york then we came here it's really different in new york.
There are lots of buildings and when, where we're staying but here like we can very peaceful and very chill. So we just walk around is it the same in summer? I think in summer it's really hot here. Yeah maybe in summer we we will go back to the Philippines. Just stay here when, when this cold weather. I think it's um one of those favorite things where when we kinda tell jokes that when we, when we communicate with, especially in twitter, especially on twitter we have this inside jokes and then they kinda ride or join us with are you more with jokes and such, they actually they made fun of us even even made fun of us.
Yeah, I think more than the relationship in the social media, I really like meeting all of our fans because you know just like when we went here in our previous show in new york, we saw um not just Filipinos but foreign fans as well. And they were really singing along with our songs. So it's really really nice and something really new for a foreigner to, you know, sing a filipino a song in filipino and they memorize it and they sang really loud when we were performing. So it was like very heartfelt moment for us. So it's gonna be a big responsibility for our staff to put subtitles on our logs. Well for me um we have this thing on twitter, it's called mentioned party. Yeah.
I love doing mentioned party because I get to you know, update to our fans and um talk to them. Um even um tell a joke and use our own pictures are memes on the internet. Yeah. I love doing that to our fans because that's the only time where we can talk to them. Yeah everyone I think right now because we're in L. A. We need to take a lot of pictures. Pictures, everything is like instagram worthy. Just us not. Bye. Well the inspiration is um since we had, we've had pandemic and we weren't able to, you know, go outside. Um like talk to each other face to face, everybody's wearing face masks. It's really it's really hard for us.
It's um since we're slowly getting back to normal um it's it's it's great to like create a song that's about reconnecting and, you know, finding peace and happiness with the people that you love once again. So that's basically what where you at is all about, Wow, that's uh that's an interesting question. I think everything, you know, um one would be, of course, I think performing in front of our 18, our fans. So of course, this is our dream. This is something that we love to do. So I think this is something that, yeah, one of our favorite, we've been waiting for this moment all this time.
Like, uh we're the favorite thing is we were able to share the filipino culture to everyone, to the filipino music in in the world, in the world. And I think, yeah, that's for me, how about you? For me? I think favorite thing to do right now. Well, well, my favorite experiences, the Wyatt tour because, you know, we went to different cities, we went to different countries, we get to experience different culture and different sceneries and I really love that, you know, certain um that that we get to do that and experience the world and that's because we're here right now. We came all the way from the Philippines and we get to share also our culture to all our fans.
So I think that's the best experience for me so far in this state. Yeah, well, I wish I could say today, unfortunately, I don't know if it's common here, but in the Philippines, we have, you know, those traditional like scope, We use it, you know, during the, but I don't know if everyone knows it. Yeah, but I have a Yeah, broad one. So yeah, I have to live with it. That's my one question. Why don't americans use big day? I mean, I think, I mean, I'm just wondering, I'm just wondering because you know, it's, you know, we get to experience different culture from all over the world. Right? So I'm just asking why are we using today and why are they not? So I'm just wondering for me.
Um, one thing that I need is a moisturizer. Yeah, moisturizer. Yeah. Thank you. I'll moisturize you. Um, for me, other than the necessary things. I, one is candy. I always needed candy. Yeah. Um, clothes. Uh, yeah. But aside from that, you know, um, laptop the longest to get ready. I think it's still, yeah, I think you mentioned other other members. It turns out it's me. I think because other, I mean when we get ready, they're going to call us one by one to get clamped and dress up for me. But still are you sure it's me? Um, okay. Maybe because he does a lot of skincare skincare. So yeah. Okay. Okay. What's the other questions? Who does? Yeah, I think so.
