Hello backstage diary, I'm Colby Caillat and we are on set for my lyric video for my song, Never Gonna Let You Down.

Come on and we're going to get started.

So, I have this EP that I just released and I thought it'd be cool to have a lyric video for every song to kind of put out there for people to get an idea of what the inspiration was behind these songs.

Right there.

Your hair is going to get dirty today.

I just wanna put someone here so the dog doesn't roll over.

Okay.

So, we're gonna do uh one take that's gonna be like that close up.

And then one far away and then a couple with the doll in the middle.

This song is really for anyone to sing to the ones that they love.

Um, whether it be a significant other, family, friend and say you're always gonna be there for that person and comfort them whenever they're going through a hard time.

I think in any career that you're in, you should evolve and grow.

And change is to come with that.

So, my first album Coco, uh, it was actually a demo that I recorded for fun.

Every day I wrote a song, I'd record it in the studio with my producer Michael Blu.

So it was just this like acoustic, beachy, really laid back, um, soulful record.

I'm indecisive.

I love all different things and especially music.

I can't just write one style.

I love it all.
