We're here with DJ Spider. He's about to show me how it is done. What's up, DJ Spider? What up? How you doing? Welcome to Young Hollywood.

Bringing up a little sound right here. Basically, you know, it's just two turntables and a mixer connected to both and uh 10 years of practice. You know, you just put one hand on the record and one hand on the cross fader and decide when the sound's gonna come in on beat. Right there you can hear yourself. Got a little sound going on. Hold on to the record and then uh you're gonna decide when it comes in and out with that on beat. There you go. Killing it. Nice.

Oh, yeah. We're having a good time here at The Standard. I'm here with the man himself. Camille Baharamentu, that's his name. And he's actually the one who puts on all the special events here at The Standard. Camille, how you having some fun tonight or what?

I'm having a great time. Really good music, great crowd. Love it.

He's amazing, just the way he makes the stuff is like unbelievable, you know. He worked for me on Wednesday, and this is kind of my party tonight. So I'm like, you have to work for me.

You know, I have down tempo crates, I have hip-hop crates, I have all different kinds of music that I could scroll through, it's all organized by BPM or however you want. So this song's 135 beats per minute and I know something around there will mix in with it and I try to think creatively and musically and put it all together. Go according to the crowd.

So the crowd here tonight, I mean, what do you think that they were their vibe is tonight? What kind of music, obviously you're playing like some what is this? Like trance hip-hop?

Trance meets Indie rock kinda hipster stuff. Um, I mean, I think the crowd, you know, in the beginning I like to just like set the mood and keep it chill and stuff people not necessarily dance to but just have fun and drink and then Get the vibe going. Yeah, and then get into more like dance stuff as the night goes.
