Ever since Borns released his hit song "10,000 Emerald Pools", there's been a lot of mystery and intrigue surrounding who this artist is. Børns: And now we're here at the legendary Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where some pretty amazing contributors to the Hollywood legacy are buried. Lots of old actors and actresses. So, it goes back a while, and um some pretty amazing people are buried here. So it's it's definitely like the feeling of being surrounded by talented spirits. So, I'm just trying to conjure that up for the show tonight, at this lovely Masonic lodge. Let's look around here. Let's check it out. This is uh, what's your name again? Oh yeah, this is Aaron. Is it Arnie? Arnie or Aaron? Can't remember my- Oh, well. You can call him whatever. He's uh he's making a sound real good in here. I'd never really put any pressure on myself when it came to playing music. It was very natural. It was just like drawing pictures, or painting, or you know, just making art except with sound. So, it was it was a pretty natural thing. I feel like that I had a uh baby grand piano in my living room. I was always writing my own just instrumental pieces, and I always used to perform when my parents had like friends over. I would always make up songs about their friends that are at the party, or just like have them give me a subject. So, I was always in character, and I always wanted to, you know, perform and entertain for groups of people. So, this is the nosebleed section. And if you look straight this way, there's actually the the all-seeing eye, which is present in a lot of my music videos. And uh kind of a subliminal Illuminati thing, but we won't talk about that.

Part of Borns' mystique not only comes from his mystical visuals and his Illuminati references, but from his love of magic. Børns: I was really into magic when I was like 9, I pretty much was a professional magician from 10 to 13. And uh my dad is a graphic designer, so he helped me with my branding and advertising. And I had like a regular restaurant gig. A lot of kids' parties, libraries. Made balloon animals. Looking back, I think that was my first experience kind of as a frontman. I love the feeling of engaging an audience in a way that they don't really know what's happening and what's coming next. And I think that's kind of how I write music too. I write it with a lot of little nuances you're not expecting and turns in in the melody. I like to keep it interesting, so the listener just is not really expecting what's coming next. This is um, I don't know, I don't really know what this is. This is um where I'm going to record my next record, using this bell. I don't want to touch anything. I don't know, it's very sacred. So, this is a very top secret sacred spot with crystals and energies and helmets. So, yeah. Sometimes I find an outfit and I just wear that very consistently over and over. This jacket I haven't worn in a while, it's I just pulled it out of my closet, but it's kind of an homage to all these old jazz greats. This is uh this is kind of like a wind turbine. I actually power my um power the stage lighting with this. These are actually space socks. These are um flame-proof, heat-proof, waterproof, you know. Keeps keeps the the sweaty feet at bay. Dopamine is a it's a neurotransmitter. It's a chemical that's released to give you kind of like reward. It's kind of like a pleasure chemical. Um, so when you're looking forward to maybe seeing someone that you love, or doing a certain drug, or just something that that really gets your blood going, that's when dopamine is released. And uh and the the record was um I feel like kind of inspired by trying like chasing that feeling. So, dopamine was definitely involved in the songwriting process.
