in-N-Out Burgers like amazing. In-N-Out Burger? People love In-N-Out Burgers, what is it? I think they inject something into those burgers. so excited in there as well. Every time I go in there, they're also like happy and enthusiastic. they call you guest. Welcome to Young Hollywood. What's up, guys? Nicki Novack here for Young Hollywood with the Naked and Famous. Aaron? Yes. David. Yeah. Tom. Alisa. Yeah. Jesse. How's LA? How do you like LA? So different from New Zealand, right?

Jesse

It's very different. Yeah. It's uh it's a bit crazy. It's got a lot of stuff that I don't know, it kind of freaks us out a little bit which is uh

Young Hollywood

Really? What's like the biggest difference between New Zealand and America would you say?

Jesse

I think it's the fact that like when I looked out the hotel window this morning and looked at the horizon and I couldn't quite make up where the building stopped. I think that's quite a big difference between maybe here and Auckland.

Young Hollywood

So, favorite American food? Do we dig American food or

Jesse

Not at all. Not in the slightest. Not one bit. I don't know how any of you survive off this. It's not really sustenance in any way, form or you can't even put it into a paste and inject it. It doesn't. We've we've just we've just come from Japan yesterday for Fuji Rock Festival and it was like our first week there and the food there, like it was just a whole week of the most amazing, like fresh fish and sushi and rice dishes and yeah, it's a bit of a change going from that to coming here and like, you know, we're staying in our hotel on Hollywood Boulevard and we're looking around outside and it's like, uh, not much food to eat around here. All that said, In-N-Out Burgers like amazing.

Young Hollywood

In-N-Out Burger? Yeah. People love In-N-Out Burgers. I think it's also, what is it? I think they inject something into those burgers. so excited in there as well. Every time I go in there, they're also like happy, enthusiastic. they call you guests. Like, welcome guests and they I feel really like they treat me like a real person, you know.

Jesse

Maybe it's just because you're Naked and Famous.

Alisa

No.

Jesse

Maybe.

Alisa

Maybe.

Jesse

It could be because they're idiot connoisseurs of junk food. I don't go to In-N-Out I don't go to In-N-Out Burger. It's horrible. I hate the crap.

Young Hollywood

Youngblood has been such a huge hit. It's like in the top 10 and you guys have had, you know, you're all very, very young so you've had success quite early. And now I've heard you've moved to London. How do you and I've heard that the title of your band came from sort of like a you're sort of like the anti-Naked and Famous or the anti-typical rock star. So, who actually came up with the name?

Aaron

I was look again, last resort, just looking through other bands lyrics. Um yeah, it was a tricky tricky song. Yeah, it's one of his lyrics. So, yeah, it just jumped out. I thought that is very clever and very over the top.

Young Hollywood

So, moving forward, what do you guys hope to accomplish in the next five years? Where do you guys see yourselves? Cuz you're so young and just been thrown out in the in the universe from the safe shackles of New Zealand.

Aaron

I guess just I mean, we should have doing exactly what we want to be doing to be honest. There's no real uh changes on the horizon just just keeping a band, keep writing, keep doing what we're doing. you know.

Young Hollywood

Is your fame, is it surprising to you? Is it something you envision you sort of saw coming or

Alisa

It's not it's flattering. It's so it's lovely when people recognize you cuz they're a fan of your work or something and it's meant something to them but It barely exists in New Zealand as well. I mean, we don't have people don't care as much. They don't yeah, we really just don't care about the whole celebrity culture. We don't have a plethora of like tabloids just you know, papparazzi that kind of stuff just doesn't exist in New Zealand and so we never grew up with it and it's just such a strange concept, you know.

Young Hollywood

Thank you so much, guys. Lovely chatting with you. And best wishes and all your success in the future and your tour.

Aaron

Thank you very much.

Alisa

Thanks. The Naked and Famous: Hello, this is uh The Naked and Famous and you're watching Young Hollywood. And uh buy our album.
