Mexican actress Fernanda Romero has been arrested in Los Angeles for marriage fraud amid allegations she paid an American man to help her become a U.S. citizen.
The 28 year old, who had a small role in 2009 horror movie Drag Me to Hell, was taken into custody along with her 'husband' Kent Ross on Friday (16Apr10).
An official for the U.S. attorney's office claims the couple lied about living together prior to their union in 2005 and submitted fake documents with her green card application.
Romero was caught out after she reportedly began dating a fashion photographer just a month after wedding Ross, 28. Investigators claim she later moved in with her new lover.
