Amazing. So, I want to know, how is LA? What have you been doing out here?

LA is so fantastic. I love to be here again cuz I missed LA so much. And, uh, LA is just, I love the vibe of the street, and the weather is perfect. And for the most, I think I miss my LA fans so much.

So, I also want to start at the very beginning and ask you guys all how you got into music. Who inspired you?

저는 저희 아빠가 음악을 되게 좋아하셔서 어렸을 때부터 음악 팝송 같은 걸 많이 들려주셨던 것 같아요. 저도 어렸을 때부터 K-pop을 정말 정말 좋아했는데 뭔가 직접 제가 이 아이돌이 되겠다고 꿈을 꾼 적은 없었거든요. 근데 이제 방탄소년단 선배님을 처음 보고 와, 나도 너무 되고 싶다라는 생각을 그때 처음 하게 됐던 것 같아요. 어, 또 저는 생각나는 거는 제가 투애니원 선배님을 굉장히 좋아해서 진짜 음악도 다 듣고 무대도 다 찾아보고 어떤 무대를 어떤 옷을 입고 했는지까지 알 정도 너무나도 팬이었어서 어, 되게 영감을 많이 받았었어요.

I also I love like a lot of K-pop girl groups, such as Girls Generation and Blackpink and Red Velvet. And for the pop, I really loved Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. So since I was young, I just followed singing along all day long.

어, 저도 완전 어릴 때부터 굉장히 K-pop을 사랑했고 음, TV에 나오는 모든 노래를 다 알 정도로 K-pop을 너무 사랑했는데 어, 막상 이 꿈은 되게 멀게만 느껴졌어요. 아이돌이라는 거 자체가. 그런데 내가 정말 좋아하는 게 뭘까? 고민하다가 아, 나는 노래랑 춤이 제일 좋구나 해서 아이돌을 꿈꾸게 됐고, 어, 되게 K-pop을 접할 곳이 너무 많아서 자연스럽게 스며든 것 같습니다.

So, now that you guys have been performing together for a while, do you have any like pre or post show rituals that you do?

I love it. So much good energy. Do you do it before and after the show, or just before?

That's how you get ready. That's amazing. Yeah. Okay, so what has been the most unexpected thing about being in a K-pop group?

We had a tour last year. We had actually US tour and also Europe tour, having our own concert. And I've never expected that, like, so many people in different countries knows our songs and singing along. And it was like, uh, it doesn't make sense for us. I mean, like, we felt like, is this, am I dreaming, like? Yeah.

No, it definitely seems like it would feel like a dream. That's crazy. I also want to know, you guys are so good at singing and dancing obviously, but do you have a hidden talent that nobody knows about?

아, 저는 추천하고 싶은 사람이 있는데요. 시은이가 굉장히 다재다능하기도 한데 그 속에서 굉장히 유연해요. 그래서 어, 되게 생각치도 못하게 와, 진짜 유연하다라고 느끼는 때가 많은 것 같아요.

I remember you had a hidden talent. Which is, uh, she is good at fixing things. making things.

I think it's a really good one. I love it. Your new album, Metamorphic. I want to talk about that a little bit. Awesome album. What was it like making it?

이 앨범 안에 수록된 이 104곡은 굉장히 어, 다양한 시기에 준비를 했었는데요. 이번에는 유닛 곡도 들어가 있고 솔로 곡도 들어가 있고, 굉장히 다양한 장르의 곡이 들어가 있고, 어, 준비하다가 파트도 바뀌고, 어, 이 곡에 뭔가 여러가지 곡들에 타이틀이 선정되기까지도 많은 시간도 걸렸고, 굉장히 많은 분들의 고생이 들어간 그런 앨범인 것 같습니다.

What, what can we expect from that performance? What are you guys looking forward to?

어, 일단 이번에 생각나는 특별한 것들은 저희가 이 팬분들과 정말 소통을 하면서 무대를 즐길 수 있는 스테이지가 있어요. 그 스테이지도 굉장히 기대가 되고 또 케이콘하면 아무래도 뭔가 큰 무대 그리고 커버 무대가 빠질 수 없잖아요. 저희가 커버 곡도 준비를 했고 또 저희 무대도 뭔가 다양한 곡들을 들려 드릴 수 있게 준비를 해서 많이 기대해 주셨으면 좋겠습니다.
