Star vs The Forces of Evil Stars Reveal What's Magical To Them

What is going on, guys? Hanging with me right now I have Star vs. the Forces of Evil. What's going on? Yeah. Wow. Look at our setup right now. We did this just for you. This is insane. I'm like, look at this, please. Star vs. the Forces of Evil. Disney Channel. Yes. Wow. Let's talk about the show because first of all, congratulations, you guys, on this success. Thank you. Multiple seasons. It's amazing. But for Young Hollywood, this is kind of like our first time getting to talk to you guys about the show. So, let's start from the beginning. So, for everyone who is watching right now, who is not aware, it's an animation TV show. It's an animated show. Yes, and it's about this perfect little magical princess, Star Butterfly, right? From another dimension. Sure. Not super perfect though. She's a but you find out later, right? Oh, uh, she's a, uh, a badass. I'm sorry. Can I say that? Yes. I'm sure. I'm sure it's fine. She is. You said kickass earlier. Yeah. Thanks, Adam. Uh, yes. I like a kickass magical princess who comes to Earth. Wow, I haven't said the actual plot from the beginning, it's so long. I know. Who um, who comes to Earth because she was given the throne, or she was given the wand when she was 14 and they were like, "No, no, no, you can't handle this." So she came to Earth and then it's her adventures on Earth and beyond. I play Star and Adam plays, uh, Marco, who is part of the host family. And Esme plays when we go eventually to the the dimension that Star is a part of. She is in the royal, um, family. She's like the dark queen. And the queen of darkness. I really do love that you get to see the two different dimensions, like her jumping from one to the other. So, I want to know if you guys would visit other dimensions. And if so, what would it look like?

Yeah, actually, in the show, my character, Marco Diaz, goes to another dimension where time happens much differently. I would like to do that. I would like to go and just like, you know, go back to school. Take my time.

You want to go back to school.

Like go to Japan and learn to become a ninja. And then come back and I've only used up five minutes and then I could just, you know, like keep doing what I'm doing.

I was going to say, a dimension where everything is chocolate.

Oh, that's a good one. That's a good one.

I agree. I think I'm I'm with Adam on the time traveling. I'm I feel like I was born in the wrong decade sometimes.

What decade would you prefer?

Maybe the 1880s. Or maybe the 1890s. The 1840s. They have better clothes back then.

So, Star actually, she goes into Earth, right? And I guess some people would say Earth is less magical or there's no magic. So, I want to know what makes Earth magical for all of you guys.

There's so many options. I'm going to go with the Earthlings because people like to rag on each other. Right now, but I feel like if we all actually recognized that there's a lot of good people in the world and appreciated the good people around us a little bit more, then perhaps we would feel happier about our dimension. Earth is very beautiful. This is a beautiful place to live in and I hope we can keep it beautiful.

What's magical for me is on Earth, is the fact that you can like like want to do something and then you can go do it.

Really inspirational. You can do it too. Don't stop believing in your dreams. Follow your heart. And then one day you'll be adult Hollywood.

So, speaking of dreams, a lot of people would love to be voice actors, which of course you guys all are for the show. So, do you guys do anything weird or like kind of interesting to like warm your voices up?

I burp compulsively whenever I record. Eden and I don't get to record together very often. The first time we ever recorded an episode together, um, like maybe five minutes in, Eden goes, "Um, sorry. I farted." And I'm like, in this tiny booth, windowless. Oh no. What are you doing to me?

Usually I walk into the booth and I'm like, what does Eclipse sound like again? Oh god, what does she sound like? And then I see the line and I just read the line and I go, oh, there she is. It's fine.

When I'm driving to my sessions, I will sing whatever's on the radio in just a random character. So like yeah, so it could be, you know, it could be Marco, who's voice is sort of like a little higher than mine. He's kind of like right here. So, you know, I could be singing like R. E. S. P. E. C. T. You know, like whatever. Or but but I, you know, that's how I warm up.

That's what Adam does, the best wrap of all of us.

No, no, no, that's not true. Although my favorite warm-up song, my favorite warm-up song is Juicy by the Notorious B. I. G.

It was all a dream. I used to read Word Up! magazine. Salt-N-Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine. Hanging pictures on my wall. Oh, this is where I always mess up.
