Bumblebee Cast Talk Cars, Music, & Funny Behind the Scenes Moments

Such an amazing cast including yourself. Do you get to work closely with Haley Steinfeld who young Hollywood absolutely adores and we know you're a funny guy. So are there any funny like behind the scenes moments between you two?

Filming a movie like it's it's long. You gotta it's a patient process and everybody develops their own style. I kind of save it for when when I'm supposed to give it.

First I I just wanna point out your outfit girl, that is a transformation. Did you get that?

Hey, I like that. Definitely congrats. This is such a big thing for you. Such an amazing cast including yourself. But you get to work with the amazing John Cena. He's hilarious so talented. Do you guys have any like funny behind the scenes moments that you can tease to young Hollywood?

One thing about John, I mean, he like you said is very funny. He's got an incredible sense of humor that I guess I don't know, I didn't necessarily expect that. I think I was just concerned about the handshake like get past the handshake, you know what I mean? And that hurt by the way, I'm still recovering from that. Um, but he is awesome and we had so much fun together and uh, I can't wait for people to see our our scenes in this movie. There was one scene where I almost fell flat on my face.

Oh no. You'll never see it cause clearly I did it a lot better the next time but that was fine. A lot of a lot of loopy nights cause we have to shoot up until like 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning. So a bunch of jokes that normally wouldn't be funny. Right. We just go potato and everybody starts laughing.

Potato makes you guys laugh?

It might. At the right time, I think it makes anybody laugh. So, I mean, I guess from the cast it's just working together for so long just kinda makes you closer, you know?

Music can help you say things that you're trying to feel. So what kind of songs are you listening to right now to get you to feel more?

Uh, you know, uh, I've I've always kind of used, I think we all use music as a, there's a term you have a soundtrack to your life. Yep. Um, right now I'm huge into the blues. I love the blues. I love classical piano. Uh, even I'm kinda like wading into jazz. Uh, I still love that old school uh, boom bap style East Coast hip hop. Um, heavy metal every once in a while like when you when you need that sort of attitude like music does. It it helps it helps whatever your attitude is and turns it up. It's art. So and I I appreciate all art. I like K-Pop. Like I I really enjoy K-Pop.

You do? What's your favorite band?

It's BTS.

Oh, BTS of course. All right, fair enough.

But I I just think that whole phenomenon is amazing. The fact that the world can get behind this group of individuals that is sending their message and using their art to to affect people's lives. I think that's pretty impressive.

And they're amazing dancers, right?

And they're amazing dancers. And then the okay rappers too. And I'm constantly inspired by by artists and their ability to share situations and experiences that they've gone through in life that aren't necessarily easy to talk about. Um, none specifically. I mean, they're we're lucky to have so many uh artists that that do that. Um, but I I love that I'm able to do that as well on on the side. I can go away into a studio and make music and um, I don't know. It's it's an outlet. It's a form of expression and and release and uh, it's awesome to be able to do.

Of course, Bumblebee is a car that's named. Do you have a car? And what is the name?

I do. And the name is a Mazda Miata.

It's a '91 Mazda Miata. Fair enough.

Right now there's no brakes on it so I'm working on it.

I do.

You know, it's had multiple names cause I just am indecisive and can't decide. But uh, I will tell you that since I've made this movie, I have seen more yellow cars and every time I do whether I'm driving in the backseat wherever I am, I am like screaming out the window Bumblebee. What can you tell the young Hollywood fans to get them really excited about this film?

If you're a fan of Transformers, you should watch this. If you're a fan of good movies, also watch this. Also, come on, it's gonna be like around Christmas. Just go with your family, do some stuff. Why not? Just it's fun. Go see it.
