Welcome to younghollywood. com. Hey there, it's Michelle Mari here at the sport spectacular gala after party at the X-bar. We're gonna talk to some of the athletes and find out their thoughts on the NBA finals. Obviously, you're you're taking your time off right now but you got to say, I mean, the boys are doing good on the Lakers right now. How do you feel about the finals?
It's great. I have two friends in uh Rayson and Lamar Odom. Yeah. And I'm really happy that those two guys made it to the finals. You know, happy for Kobe. You know, Kobe is a good friend. Happy for both teams. Dwight Howard his first time. Hope he goes to seven. Right. And it'll be enjoyable for all the fans.
Do you think that Orlando has what it takes to really take it away?
I think Orlando has what it takes to win. Yeah. I think the Lakers also has what it takes to win. That's the good thing about these finals. Nobody thought Orlando would be here. Right. And they beat Lebron James. So nobody really thought that in a million years. And so that's what's so good about NBA. Right.
So, what is your secret to hustle it on the court? Do you have a little secret sauce that you can tell us about?
You just got to enjoy it. You know, you got a good piece of hot pie. Tastes so good. Right. I said that defenses tastes so good. Right.
How do you feel about Orlando? And do you think that they could really take it in this series?
Well, it's gonna be hard for them. Anything can happens. It's possible. I did it in 206 with the Miami Heat. We were down 2-0 and we came back and won four game straight. So, it can happens but they got to come out and just take one game at a time.
Being that you're a veteran in this game, what is the secret to actually getting back on top and really, you know, facing the challenge that they have to do now?
I think they just got to be focused, you know, a little bit more. I mean, I think that they have to go and and make some adjustments. They will. And I think home court advantage would be a little bit different than being on a Lakers floor. Lakers are really doing a good job, but I think that Orlando is really bringing it.
How do you feel about the finals so far?
I'm gonna be a little bit bias. I'm always a underdog. I like going for the underdogs. So I'm going for Orlando.
What do you think they needed to do act to actually take it away?
I think they just got to have to play as a team collectively and Orlando's the type of team that that that shoots a lot of threes. And once they get hot from the outside, they play very well at home. And they play three games at their place. So we'll see what happens.
How do you feel about the finals this year and who are you rooting for?
Uh I think the Lakers are taking it. Kobe's not gonna let, you know, the final slip away from him uh like last year. So I think that the Lakers are gonna win. They're too powerful. Got too much experience. I think they're gonna take it all the way.
Do you think they were a fair matchup?
As far as Cleveland goes, they didn't have any guys to match up with Orlando. And uh you know, Dwight Howard's automatic mismatch uh with whatever team he played, but you know, I feel like uh you know, the Lakers just have the upper hand with the experience, you know, with Kobe with all the players that they have and like I said, I think they're gonna take it all the way.
Let's talk about your career and your upcoming career with the Clippers. How do you feel about, you know, being drafted?
I'm very excited. I feel like they have a great cast of guys that can, you know, turn the turn the team around and do a great job next year. So, you know, if I'm there, I'm I'm excited about it and I'm ready to roll.
So, has Baron talked to you and given you any tips about the team yet?
Uh I did talk to him. I met him um Saturday morning. And uh I went to their facility and he's a great guy. He gave me his number and all that. So, uh you know, I'm looking forward to playing with him.
How do you feel about the finals this year and who are your picks?
My pick is the Lakers. Um yeah, I'm definitely gonna go with them. They uh they're too much for Orlando.
Yo, it's hopping as a boy, a test.
Young Hollywood in the building. Yeah, yeah.
