NBA Legends: What It Takes To Be Rookie Of The Year

Donovan has probably been the best rookie this year. I know exactly who he is, and he's actually gotten better. He was great then, but he's definitely got better. And I think, you know, a lot of people say between him and Ben Simmons, rookie of the year, but I think he might might edge it out at the end. I love Donovan. I mean, right? How about a surprise? I mean, nobody saw it coming. And then he's just here. And not only is he here, but when you listen to his teammates and coach Snyder talk about him. I mean, there's such great respect for him. Man, this guy, I think he should be rookie of the year. I love the kid, he has a bright future. He reminds me of Dwyane Wade.

Dwyane Wade, he's built like him. He's a tank. He'll dunk on anybody. He loves dunking on people. He doesn't shy away from the moment. Big in heart, big in talent and uh no fear. No fear. A guy who clearly makes his team better, makes his makes his players around him better. If he can continue to play the way he's playing, then I think there'll be no doubt that he'll win rookie of the year. As a young rookie coming into the league, they all follow him and they don't mind him taking the shots. They don't mind him leading. That's very unusual for a rookie to have that type of I guess they would say swagger.
