Welcome to Young Hollywood. Hey guys, Michelle Marie coming to you from the SB Style Studio, celebrating the SBs with the one and only Amari Stoudemire. Congratulations on the big, big move to the Knicks. How you feeling?

Amar'e Stoudemire

Thank you. Thank you. I feel great. New York is a beautiful city.

Young Hollywood

Uh-huh.

Amar'e Stoudemire

Glad to be a part of the Knicks organization.

Young Hollywood

You are representing too, with the shirt, I like it.

Amar'e Stoudemire

Yeah, absolutely. It's a vintage New York Knicks T-shirt. Yeah. Simple and clean.

Young Hollywood

I love the thing vintage. So, tell me more about your decision and what made you choose New York? Did you have certain things that you looked at?

Amar'e Stoudemire

Yeah, I mean you look at, you look at obviously what what happens on the basketball court, and also off the court is is is huge. You know, so New York is obviously the best platform in the world to to uh achieve your goals off the court. You know, from a financial standpoint of being able to really build your brand. So.

Young Hollywood

Right.

Amar'e Stoudemire

That was a major factor for myself.

Young Hollywood

Was it tough for you to leave Steve Nash? I know you guys had a really good chemistry with the Suns.

Amar'e Stoudemire

We had a great, great chemistry. You know, we had the picking roll down. Probably the best to stop them alone. But uh, you know, sometimes you gotta uh the tables are turned. You know, so now I'm in New York.

Young Hollywood

And I know that uh, Spike Lee obviously is probably had some words, shared some words with you. What can you share with us?

Amar'e Stoudemire

Spike that's my man. He's a good friend of mine. We we talk all the time. So, we trying to figure out how can we get the Knicks back to a championship status type team.

Young Hollywood

Right. So, I know that you were at Carmelo Anthony's wedding recently and of course Chris Paul made a speech saying that it's gonna be Chris Paul, Carmelo and you coming back together. We see that happening with you?

Amar'e Stoudemire

Uh, I mean it's it's possible. still still not sure. those guys are on the contract. So you can't really uh, you know, determine if they're gonna be there or not. So, uh just gotta wait and see.

Young Hollywood

Of course, Power Forwards you have to challenge all of them, but I want to know who is your favorite to challenge on the court.

Amar'e Stoudemire

My favorite Power Forward to challenge. Oh man, it's a bunch. I mean, it's a lot of good ones out there. A lot of going against Pau Gasol.

Young Hollywood

Pau Gasol?

Amar'e Stoudemire

Mm-hm. Yeah. He's got some good shampoo he uses.

Young Hollywood

My friend. I'm pretty sure he does. Yeah, yeah. So, who are you most excited to see here at the SBs this year?

Amar'e Stoudemire

Definitely looking forward to seeing um Serena. She does a great job and win all them tournaments. I would love to see Derek Jeter if he was here, just kind of have a New York state of mind bond.

Young Hollywood

If you were to actually trade places with someone right now that and do a different career, what would you do for a day just to experience it?

Amar'e Stoudemire

Oh man, if I could trade places with someone right now for a day. I mean um, I mean I'd trade places with Jay-Z.

Young Hollywood

I don't know about that. You think you think he could trade places with you and do do your game on the court and challenge you?

Amar'e Stoudemire

I mean, I can't I can't rap. I you know, so I'm pretty sure he's not a great at basketball, but if we could trade places, that'll be great for a day. Hey, what's up, this your boy Amari Stoudemire, of the New York Knicks. Shout out to all my fans. Stay tuned to the Knicks this year. Young Hollywood, keep it locked.
