Dodgers Talk with Matt Kemp

Welcome to younghollywood. com. Hey guys, it's Michelle Marie and I'm here with Matt Kemp of the Dodgers. Well, I have to say you guys are having an amazing season. Congratulations on all the success with the team. How do you feel about everything so far?

It feels great. Uh, you know, we're we got the best record in the in in Major Leagues right now, and we're playing really good baseball. We got Manny back, and we're we're doing big things. So hopefully this year we could uh make it further than we did last year in the playoffs and make it to the World Series.

How's the chemistry with the team now that Manny's back?

It's great. I mean, even when he was gone, it carried over from when he left. Uh chemistry is great, everybody's getting along and we're we're we're doing some big things this year. Finally, we have a baseball team here in Los Angeles that's really representing well.

Now, we know the Lakers won the championship. Now, does that put pressure on you to win this season?

Not pressure, but we want to have that big that big parade like they did. It was cool to see them guys get a get another ring and for Kobe and all those other guys, Lamar and all them to get, you know, get their rings and uh be at the top of their games again. So, you know, I I'd like to see how it feels to to be a World Series champion.

Right. Well, you're you're a great player on the team, and I know that, you know, you always are focused when you get out there. What are the keys to keeping focused when you're out on the field?

Uh, basically, you know, just just I think just having fun. We just have fun out there. It's a kid's game. I'm I'm playing a kid's game. I've been playing baseball since I was 4 years old. So, it's like being a kid, it's it's nothing, you don't wanna put too much pressure on yourself, and uh just tryna win every game and and play as best as I can every day.

Now, if you weren't playing baseball, what would you think you'd be doing as a career?

I'd probably be like a model or a singer or something.

Nah, I don't wanna do I don't wanna do that. I don't wanna do that.

A singer, though. That's good.

Yeah. I'll be a little singer or something.

What kind of music do you like?

Yeah, an R&B singer.

Okay. Can you give us a little

Uh no, I can't do that for y'all. Gotta wait 'til my record come out.

Okay. So that's a plan for the future, maybe?

Got my single coming out here in about a month or two.

Oh really? Who you working with?

Nobody.

You're just gonna do it all on your own?

It's all me. I'm doing it all. I'm writing the songs, producing it, doing it all.

What is your writing all about?

Love.

About love?

Love. I'm finding love, I'm finding love in all the wrong places. Relationships. I know. Is it hard out here in the city, I swear. Especially out here in LA.

So what are three things you look for in a in a girl or in a partner?

Independent, mhm pretty, Gotta have good teeth too. I like good teeth.

Teeth are good.

Yeah, good teeth. That's the most part, independent. Somebody who can go off and do their own thing, and not have to worry about me all the time.

I know, having a boyfriend like him would be a little scary, you know? All the ladies like Call me. He's single guys. He's single.
