But the whole social network is all of that, isn't it? You can you can create a persona that absolutely doesn't exist. You know.
Do you have one created that you use?
I have seven. Yeah.
Hey guys, Jess here with the devely handsome and talented Michael Des. Hey. How are you?
So, we're here at South by Southwest at your friend's beautiful ranch. For the last, you know, a few years I've been on TV and acting and and exploring all of that, which I did as a child. But then I thought, you know, I really what do I love? What's the what's the thing that I love the most and that's playing music live. So I put a band together in LA of guys I I I've never met. So so we walk into a room and right from the get go, it was astounding. And you look at people in the eye who you've never met before and you don't even have to speak because the music will unite you.
It was kind of a house that just turned into a recording studio. It's turned into jamming in the living room, to jamming in the garage and then one day I said, I'm just going to build this and it's like feel the dreams. build it and it will come and now they come and we make really good music here. It's been great.
Now, what about at your house? Where do the guys stay when they come here?
They all stay here and I have a 1956 Spartan trailer. Did you see it?
I did actually and I thought it was awesome.
So the band stay there and they stay in my house. Uh usually the lead singer and the guitar player like Michael are staying in the house now and Steve Jones from the pistols is staying here and great Ryder, show up on with the band. Pamela Des is staying in the Spartan this year. It's really great. And the vibe is cool. It's all about the vibe. As you can see, they're jamming in there. It's just got a really good vibe. So actually during South by Southwest, which is a music festival, everybody really is, you know, here to approve something, get a record deal, maintain their legendary status, whatever the reason is they're here, you're on display. You have to do it and, you know, and the thing about the music thing is is that to be really you know, effective and enjoy it, you have to let go of all of that stuff and surrender that stuff and just be yourself and play. So after this exhaustive week for the majority of bands, they come out here, the ones that are still alive from that year and and go into that barn down there. And they come in they relax and they play. And they and they enjoy it. And they're there to enjoy themselves. No other reason.
So let's try it again real quick. And we'll take a break.
