He got free stuff totally. Did you? Did you you wrote I I conned my way in. You wrote how to succeed at South by Southwest. So school the rest of us.

So, uh I did. I wrote a little guide to succeeding at South by Southwest. So, step one, go to South by Southwest. Get tickets. It doesn't matter how. Step two, locate free things. Step three, take the free things. Step four, put them in your bag. Step five, leave, repeat. You have now succeeded at South by Southwest.

Oh yes. I went to the Salt Lick, which is a Texas institution in the words of my father. Um, of beef. It was really, really, really good.

All right, let's talk about the film, guys. Yeah. Okay. So you and David play brothers.

Uh yeah. So we're brothers. We're estranged brothers who uh have, you know, uh years ago kind of um, I betrayed him in a uh during a difficult time when our mother uh passed away and uh and and we've things have been tense ever since. And um, uh I'm at the end of my career, a sort of not great career of a being a a journeyman tennis doubles player.

I saw some stills of you embracing the headband. Yes. The terry cloth headband. You were throwing it back.

I brought that back. Back in high school, I used to wear that.

Yeah. You did, did you?

Oh yeah. Just a school and everything. Just school. Yeah, I used to wear that. I used to, yeah, I was I don't know what I call myself, a hippie or something. But anyway, we uh uh we come back together. Oh, thank you. Perfect. You don't. Stop it.

How do you just have that in your pocket?

Well, we're doing a tennis movie.

Name name any item, he can pull it out of his ear. Um,

There we go. There you go. See, you've got the hair for it. Right? Can I keep that after? I kind of like it. I can promote the movie. I'll walk around South by with that. Um.

I like it. Yeah, no, you can definitely not keep it. So between So between the So between the two of you, who had the best stroke? The best stroke, the stroke?

Uh, I think David's better. He's He I think Jeremy looks better on camera. I have to say. Yeah, you have a better Hollywood tennis. You're in all seriousness, he's a pow you're a powerful man. And a lot of that anger that you have deep within you was sort of going into the strokes and I think it looks good. I just think that you can tell a man's athletic ability by his calves and you have wonderful calves. Can we can you compare calves?

Uh, we can on screen. It's really, it's you kill me. You destroy me.

You think so? Oh my god. Yeah. He's got really nice calves. You can check him out in the movie. But thanks, that means.

Gorgeous. Gorgeous hair and and who has, you know, there's like that tennis grunt? Uh, we let's do our we were playing around with some. Mine was kind of a uh. Eh. Yeah, that was more what you felt. That was what I felt. Oh, so we have to do the spectator back and forth. Right, right. Okay. You guys back too. Ready. Ready. Eh.

So my character's name is Barry. Okay. And he's he's smart for his age, but he dresses in a kind of eccentric manner. He doesn't know how to talk to people. Is the is the thing about him.

So you were really acting because you have no problem with that in life.

Okay. Well, um, when he sees this opportunity with Darren, um, who is who is the substitute When he sees this opportunity with Darren, who is his substitute teacher, he's like, oh my god, a friend. So he tries to he tries so hard to become his friend. And he ends up, he ends up kind of becoming a ball boy and then he becomes a friend and then he kind of turns into a part of the family throughout the movie.

Yeah, that's what he was Yeah, I'm tearing up a little bit. He's got a tough kinda of a tough home life, you know, and he doesn't have a lot of he's kind of a little awkward at school. He doesn't quite fit in. He's smarter than most of the kids and and kind of uh, doesn't understand sort of social uh, how to fit in in school. So he uh, is really looking for some kind of guidance and he finds it in a really unexpected unexpected way from these two guys.
