(upbeat music) "Motives" is all about, I guess, clout chasers. I've been friends with a lot of them and I've known a lot of them and so I feel like I really just needed to write a song about it and express my feelings about them, so (laughs). (upbeat music) ♪ Don't think that I didn't hear ♪ ♪ From friends of friends you're talking ♪ ♪ Too bad you tend to be loud ♪ I mean I love singing songs that are slick sassy and savage (laughs). Most of my songs are like, very sassy. But I think it's more fun to sing, so. Since everyone's in the industry, everyone knows each other so when someone's talking about me or my friends everyone knows about it.

So if you tell someone, they're gonna tell me and so that's why I said, you tend to be loud because you're always talking about me and always bad about me. But then to my face you're so nice. If you have something mean to say just don't say it at all because it's definitely gonna get back to me and I'm gonna know about it. ♪ Give me nothing ♪ ♪ But you want something from me ♪ So I'm really good at reading people so when I hang out with someone for the first time I usually see people's intention. Like all of my friends, they have really good intentions and they just wanna be friends with me. But sometimes I meet people that are just there for the followers or just for the fame.

So, I'm really good at reading people and that's why I said I see your motives, I see what you want in life. And it's not to be friends with me (laughs). A lot of people do this, it's kind of like, if you're my friend, you have to do something for me for me to do something for you so we can just like, have a good friendship. I don't know, kinda just have to be there for your friend. But a lot of people expect me to give them shout outs or be there at their concert, blah, blah, blah. All of this stuff and they're never doing the same back for me so it's just weird. I feel like if I DM someone and I wanted them to see it, it would be Justin Bieber because I love Justin Bieber.

Or like (mumbles) or, well I've loved Billie since she came out with "Ocean Eyes" and she just came out with "Everything I Wanted" and every song she comes out with I'm like obsessed with. Or Khalid, there's a lot of artists that I love, but probably Justin Bieber. He's so cute (laughs). (upbeat music) ♪ You look like bad intentions ♪ ♪ I see your motives ♪ Someone that looks like bad intentions is usually someone that only wants to take pictures, go on live streams, meet all of your friends. Usually these people take your friends and it's kind of annoying. My motives in life are just to always work hard and try to achieve my goal and not hang out with people that are...

(scoffs) What am I tryna say? Problematic I guess (laughs). (upbeat music) ♪ You ask about me to somehow ♪ ♪ Make it something about you ♪ ♪ No don't pretend that you care ♪ So I said this because there's this one person in mind, but I'm not gonna say it because that's horrible. But (laughs) they asked me how I was doing and I was like, "Oh, I'm okay." And they were like, "Yeah I'm not doing too well either." Started ranting to me about how bad their life was. Whatever. And then just didn't ask me how I was and every time they asked me how I was I asked them how they were and they didn't care about what I had to say.

It's always about them in this situation, so, it's like attention seeking, it's kind of annoying (scoff). ♪ We're past the point of a resurrection ♪ ♪ There's no returning ♪ ♪ So go ahead save your prayers ♪ This was kind of just like me being sassy and fighting back and showing that I don't need you, pretty much. So yeah, I was just tryna be really sassy and like... What is it called, like a, what are those songs called? What are those songs called when you ro... Like a roast (laughs) it was like a roast. It's fun to roast someone, even on stage.

One time I was singing this song about someone, my song "Hot", and the person's friend was in the audience and they were filming it and they came up to me after and was like, "Yeah I'm gonna send it to him." And I was like, "No, no, no, no, no." But it was actually really fun, so (laughs). But yeah, I was just saying I am not gonna be your friend again and you're still trying and it's disgusting because you're a clout chaser, so, bye-bye (chuckles).
