Charles Melton

Charles Melton broke through as Reggie Mantle on Riverdale in 2017, replacing the original cast member and quickly becoming a fan favorite across the show's run on the CW. He stepped into leading-man territory with the 2019 romance The Sun Is Also a Star opposite Yara Shahidi, adapted from Nicola Yoon's bestselling novel.

The pivot critics had been waiting for arrived in 2023 with Todd Haynes' May December, in which he played Joe Yoo opposite Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore. The performance earned Melton a Golden Globe nomination, a National Board of Review win for Breakthrough Performance, and a place on nearly every year-end critics' list — re-introducing him as one of the most exciting dramatic actors of his generation.
