Vanessa Morgan Talks Riverdale Season 3 & Teases Choni Kiss Scene

My goal is to keep him interested this whole time, but his eyes are literally done.

Well, congrats on your new family member first and foremost. And congrats as always on Riverdale. The success. It's just insane. I'm sure you're like not even used to it yet, right? It's just like constant.

I'm getting used to it. Yeah. I'm getting used to it, but yeah, it's the fandom is like nothing I've ever had before being on a different show. So it's pretty cool.

Well, I want to congratulate you specifically on becoming a series regular, because that's huge. Do you remember where you were when you heard the news? Like were you in the car, hanging out? My side.

I oh, I do remember. I was I was coming back from a movie with Charles. Yeah. I was coming back from a movie with Charles and uh I got the call first and he didn't get the call that he was a series regular yet, but he kind of knew it was happening. So then I think it kind of like I think he was kind of like, oh wait, am I going to get the call? You know. But he did. Um So excited. But yeah, I was coming back from a movie and it was pretty exciting and I just had to like weigh my options and blah blah and of course, I wanted to be like a permanent member of the Riverdale family. So.

And I'm sure you get this question all the time, but everyone's dying to know more about Toni's backstory, the family, just everything. So does that mean we're going to see a little bit yet? Is there anything?

Okay. I'm hoping. I mean, we're on episode six and we haven't got there yet. Okay. But I'm I'm very much so hoping that we do.

Well, your character Toni obviously so many people connect with her and love her so much. And I know you've said the fans have told you like personal stories and stuff like that. Is there anyone that's like kind of stuck out?

When I was in Brussels, there was a couple girls that like really um they just told me that because of watching my character or my relationship with Cheryl, that they were able to come out to their family, which was huge to me. And some girls were telling me this crying while meeting me. Wow. Being like, thank you because of you. I felt like comfortable coming out. That that's pretty awesome.

That's so powerful. Yeah. That's amazing. Well, your fans are obsessed with you. Young Hollywood fans are obsessed with you. I got some fan questions.

Um Aside from learning about Toni's family, what else would you like to find out about Toni in the upcoming season?

More with my relationship with my girlfriend. Yes. Um I would like to see us be as knoodly or whatever word you want to say as uh Varchie. Be more of the serpent. I love my gang. Yeah.

Love that. @MadsBombshell07. Okay. Which episode in season three will make the Choni fandom absolutely crazy? We, you know, have had a kissing scene. And you blew up the internet, so. So.

No but we Oh, but in season three though. We've had we've had a kissing scene. So it's I'm sure it'll they'll like that. Perfect. Love that. Um but anything else I can't really say.

Of course. Yeah. Okay. Last one. @days_of_RVD. Describe Toni in three words for this season.

Sensitive. Um maybe not sensitive but gentle. Like Cheryl has brought off brought out this very soft side of Toni. Toni's walls were up in season two and she's like very tough. Whereas so far in season three, she's very soft, protective. For Cheryl. Mhm. And uh yeah, she's still she's still the badass self that she is, but just you know, just a softer version.

I love that. So my main fan question is, are they twin flames?

They could be twin flames. Okay. Because of the fact, you know, with the twin flame relationship, there can be a runner and a chaser. But I wouldn't say they're mirror images of each other. So if they're not twin flames, then they're soulmates. They're definitely could be. You could have many soulmates. You could have like ten soulmates. Right. So it could be one of her soulmates, but the twin flames usually your personalities are very, very similar and their personalities are very opposite.

Yeah. What would be like your your main difference between soulmates and twin flames? Is it that the twin flames are like the mirror?

So I would say with the twin flame, it's like it's your mirror image of yourself. Okay. And also there's something about the twin flame versus a soulmate, which is like the passion you feel in your heart is something that you can't really describe. It's you just know. It's the calmness of knowing. It's like this sense of just like it's a you know, it's meant to be. Or soulmates, you can have other people that can feel that, but like your twin flame is like it's just like, yeah, it's like the comfort. It's like home.
