Brie Larson won the Academy Award for Best Actress at 26 for her devastating turn in Lenny Abrahamson's 'Room' (2015) — the culmination of a career that started in Disney Channel comedies and indie standouts like 'Short Term 12', 'The Spectacular Now' and 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World'.\n\nShe took the Marvel keys as Carol Danvers in 'Captain Marvel' (2019), one of the highest-grossing solo debuts in MCU history, then reprised the role in 'Avengers: Endgame' and 2023's 'The Marvels' opposite Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris. Between blockbusters she's kept a foot firmly in prestige and genre: Apple TV+'s 'Lessons in Chemistry' (Emmy-nominated), 'Fast X' and Jon Watts' upcoming 'The Last Rodeo'.\n\nLarson is also a director — her 2017 feature debut 'Unicorn Store' premiered at TIFF — a producer through her Fresh & Fluffy shingle, and a YouTube creator whose behind-the-scenes videos regularly rack up millions of views.
