ICYMI: Celebrate "Friends" 25th Anniversary With 3 Special Theatrical Screenings!

Written by Lori Bashian. Published: August 18 2019

Everyone’s favorite sitcom is turning a quarter of a century old this year, proving to us that our friends will in fact always be there for us. That’s right, everyone, this September marks the 25th anniversary of the pilot episode of NBC's "Friends"! Twenty-five years of singing "Smelly Cat", listening to Chandler’s sarcastic comments, learning about dinosaurs from Ross, asking each other "how you doin’?", cleaning obsessively, copying Rachel’s hair, and dreaming of sitting on the big orange couch.

There are a few different ways in which this milestone is being celebrated, i.e. a LEGO set of Central Perk and all our favorite friends. Fans, however, are most excited about the news that "Friends" is headed to the big screen!

Twelve fan favorite episodes will be screened in theaters over the course of 3 days in over 1,000 movie theaters nationwide. Starting on September 23, theaters will screen 4 episodes a night along with special never-before-seen behind the scenes moments and interviews.

The episodes will be shown in the following order:

September 23: "Pilot –ReDo", "The One With The Black Out", "The One With The Birth", "The One Where Ross Finds Out"

September 28: "The One With The Prom Video", "The One Where No One’s Ready", "The One With The Morning After", "The One With The Embryos"

October 2: "The One With Chandler In  A Box", "The One With Ross’s Wedding – Part 2", "The One Where Everyone Finds Out", "The One Where Ross Got High"

Tickets for the event, thrown by Fathom Events, will be made available on Friday, August 16 on their website
