5 Fun Things To Know About Shelley Hennig!

If you're a "Teen Wolf" fan, then no doubt you're familiar with Malia Tate and her hilarious personality on the MTV show. From taking things very literally to being the ultimate savage with her responses, Malia is definitely a unique character that we wish we could see on-screen till the end of time. Even though Malia’s journey came to an eventual end, the brains, beauty and outstanding performance behind it all was brought to us by the very talented Shelley Hennig. Shelley joined the third season of "Teen Wolf"and the rest was history.




With new projects on the horizon and her recent feature film When We First Met being very successful, there is so much going for Shelley and we want more! So here are five fun facts to know about the superstar!


1. She Was Miss Teen USA

With all the beauty and sophisticated persona, it is not that surprising to know that this talented actress has a classy background. In 2003, she won the Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2004 in a state pageant held in Lafayette, Louisiana. In the following year, she represented Louisiana in the Miss Teen USA 2004 pageant and won the title. She made history by becoming the first winner from Louisiana!

2. She Is In Maren Morris’s Music Video

As if being such a great actress is not enough, she continues to break boundaries and try new things. Although she is not singing on records (even though we would pay to hear them), she is taking a step into in the world of music by featuring in Maren Morris’s music video for her single “I Could Use A Love Song”. She even shows off her dance skills. Is actually there anything she can’t do?!!




3. She Writes

On top being an extremely talented performer, she is also creative and writes her own poems and blogs. Many of her poems have been published in the Young Authors Book of Poetry. Shelley wrote a blog for Pageantry Magazine’s website. Her authenticity reflects through her pieces and we are definitely here for more! So here is a little piece for you Shell: roses are red, violets are blue, please write more poems for us, and blogs if you want, too!


4. She Is a Campaign Queen

With a such a hectic schedule, Shelley still works with a number of non-profit organizations, including Seeds of Peace, D.A.R.E., Sparrow Clubs, and Shine. After losing her brother, she became a strong advocate against underage drinking and is active in getting the word out through speaking at schools and communities. She is on a mission to create change and save lives, and it is very evident that she is a born leader.


5. She Is Quite The Comedian

On the contrary to the serious roles she portrays on-screen, Shelley is such a goofball in real life and she is not shy to let us know that. She loves playing pranks on set, a.k.a that time she “shot” Dylan O’Brien in his trailer on set of "Teen Wolf". She is really funny and shows us her sense of through some of her Instagram posts in comedic skits and hilarious pics that only she could pull off. Somebody get this girl on Comedy Central!




Oh, Shell Bell. Where have you been all our lives! The amount of light and fun she spreads using her platform is inspiring and is queenly. Her success and high-quality storytelling never get boring to watch and her unique approach to it all keeps us on out toes. We are very lucky to witnessing this Hennig era! Way to go, Shelley!
