4 Beaches You’ve Never Heard Of To Visit This Summer!

Written by Jazlen Patrick. Published: July 19 2022

Going to the beach is one of the most popular Summer activities there is! Feeling the sand in between your toes. Cooling off in the chill water. Tanning in the hot Summer sun. The beach is the epitome of Summer.

But maybe you’re tired of going to the same beaches every year, or maybe you’re wanting to explore somewhere new this Summer. If that sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place. Here is a list of beaches that you’ve never heard of and may want to go visit this Summer!

1. Secret Beach, Oregon

Oregon may not be the first place you think of when wanting to go somewhere to visit the beach, but after seeing this one, you might change your mind. This not-so-popular beach is one that is mainly known by its locals in Southern Oregon. It is quite well hidden and may be difficult to reach, especially to those who are not from the area. I mean, it is called the Secret Beach for a reason. However, once you get there, it is truly breathtaking. This beach will make you feel like you’re on your own private island. The mountains of rock and the beautiful blue-green water will have you in paradise.

2. Juno Beach, Jupiter, Florida

If your family is anything like mine, you go to Florida at least once every Summer. And while we’re there, we usually go to the same couple of beaches. But I think it's about time we give these popular, overcrowded beaches a break and give this one a try. Juno Beach is located between Jupiter and West Palm Beach, Florida, and it seriously has the bluest water in the state! This beach is perfect for surfers, as the tides are just right and perfect for sea turtle lovers holding many nesting grounds. But the fun doesn't just stop at the beach -- it also has the cutest beach town surrounding that you can also explore!

3. Cumberland Island, Georgia

I’ve lived in Georgia my whole life, and I didn’t even know there was an island here! Cumberland Island National Seashore is home to many amazing historical buildings and -- my favorite part -- beautiful horses that roam the island freely. Yep, you read that right. Horses that roam freely! How cool! To access this island, you have to catch the ferry, and from there, you’re free to explore. The white-sand beach here is breathtaking and is perfect for sunbathing. Who knew the li'l ole peach state held something so magical?!

4. Victoria Beach, Laguna Beach, California

California is home to so many beautiful beaches. I mean, seriously, you can’t get away from the water in California. But here’s one that you may not have heard of that is truly a sight to see. Victoria beach is so much more than just a beach. The views here are amazing, you’d almost think you were in a movie! The Pirate Tower is the most “popular” attraction here, and although you can’t go inside, it is a great photo opportunity. Victoria Beach is a well-hidden and quiet, calm beach, perfect for relaxing at the end of a hot Summer day.

This is the Summer for discovering all of the hidden gems of the world, and today, we’re starting with beaches! We love the views on these beaches and want to keep them beautiful. So remember to be kind and careful when visiting.
