Can I just say, I didn't do it because my dog has just passed gas.
I didn't do it, Georgie did.
That is terrible.
Could you smell that?
I'm joined on the Young Hollywood sofa with the lovely Olivia Holt.
Hi.
And which is a female with my name, Oliver, Olivia.
Yeah.
So if you would have been a boy, you would have been Olivia, Oliver, and I would have been Olivia.
Yeah.
And your middle name is Hastings, which I'm great about, yeah.
Which just give you a little history lesson, didn't I?
Yes, you did.
What did you learn from me?
I learned that the Battle of Hastings was quite possibly the biggest battle down, uh, down, down across the pond.
That's very good.
See, she listens.
I should be a teacher.
Maybe if all fails in Hollywood, I'm going to go into lecturing.
But more importantly, I didn't do it.
Nope, you didn't.
I didn't do it, but you did.
Which is a great, great, uh, title for the for the show, because we've all used that line so many times.
I mean, it's like a bunch of friends together, who do these crazy things, I mean.
When was the last time that you said, I didn't do it, when you actually had?
This morning.
Really?
What was it?
Can you tell us now?
No, um, I mean, like, of course, like growing up, like when I was younger, like I said it all the time.
I have a younger brother, so we would fight back and forth all the things and I'd blame it on him and he'd blame it on me.
So, I mean, really like my life ties in with the show completely.
I I heard you say it's kind of similar to Friends, right?
It's a Friends.
Yeah, yeah, it's like Signfeld meets Friends.
So it's um, it's a little bit.
It's really cool because it it really is like all these relatable characters and uh, the dynamics between all the characters are just so so like those shows.
Right.
You mention uh, a lot of brother and sister stuff getting to know each other.
Do you do any things with the cast, like any trust stuff when you're all like cuz you're a big tight knit family?
Yeah, yeah.
Um, well, because like we've created this awesome bond on set, uh, well like we'll we'll play back and forth with each other, but we also do the uh, the little Light as a Feather stiff as a board thing, the the two fingers where you lift each other up.
And it works.
I swear.
We did it with me and we were literally like, what?
It was insane.
We didn't think that it would actually work, but it did.
With two fingers?
Yeah, two fingers and you lift someone up.
I mean, obviously you can't do like on one-on-one, like can't lift one person.
Well, if you get good at it, if you practice.
Yeah, if you get really good, really buff, you gotta go to the gym a lot.
Oh, I like that.
Just lifting people.
Away from your acting, your music is going amazingly well.
You just won a Radio Disney Music Award.
Which is exciting.
Yeah, really exciting.
Now that I'm a little bit older, I can kind of take the reins and really focus on my music.
And I've been in the recording studio lately.
Um, just kind of also learning the writing process and you know, recording and uh, it's been so much fun.
And uh, being able to actually sit down and be creative and figure out a cool sound and figure out some beautiful lyrics is, you know, something that I've always wanted to do and I'm really happy to be able to actually do it.
I love that.
Who are your uh, musical inspirations?
Uh, I love Bruno Mars, you know, I think his uh, his soulful music is uh, is beautiful.
So he's one of my favorite artists.
Um, Jessie J, I think she's so cool.
Um, Colbie Caillat, I love her uniqueness.
She's uh, she's one of my favorites just because, you know, she has uh, something special about her that I think uh, you know, that's really interesting about an artist.
So uh, those are like my top three.
And Katy Perry, I think she's a rad performer.
So I love Katy Perry.
Everyone loves Katy Perry.
She's awesome.
You've just done Disney nature, done the movie Bears and you've done the song for it.
Yeah, yeah, it was such a cool experience.
Uh, Disney Nature's Bears basically um, is a story about this family of bears who go who uh, who take on this really epic journey in their lives and, you know, it's risky but exciting.
So, uh, Disney approached me with this uh, song um, called Carry On and as soon as I heard it, I fell in love with it.
I mean, it's such a beautiful and inspiring song and um, I just had to be involved.
And so we recorded the song and it is an overall soundtrack for Disney Nature's Bears.
Um, and this must be strange for you because you grew up watching Disney, right?
Oh yeah.
Lizzie McGuire was that you that was Lizzie McGuire was
I literally probably had every piece of merchandise from Lizzie McGuire.
Hilarious.
Brilliant.
Do you still have it?
Oh yeah, all the time.
I mean, I wish it was still on Disney so I could just sit there and watch it.
But um, yeah, like Lizzie McGuire, That's so Raven, Even Stevens, like those are my shows growing up.
And now being in Disney and winning awards, is there one memory that sticks out as being like, wow?
Um, I, you know, my favorite my favorite moments are uh, like the unexpected ones.
So uh, like getting the call from people saying, You booked this, or, you know, even like the Radio Disney Music Award.
Like I honestly had no like I was like, ah, you know, I'm up against some like pretty big people.
Like I'm just I'm just really, you know, happy for the opportunity.
They called my name and I was like.
It was a moment like your show where you're like, what just happened?
It's just yeah.
I don't know what to do.
Um, but yeah, it's like those are moments where you're kind of like, uh, I love what I do and um, you know, I'm I'm I'm you you really are putting 110% into it and that's um something that you know, I want to continue doing.
Okay.
Well, I'm sure you will.
We're seeing you on Disney and you're taking over the Disney world.
