Rob Dyrdek

I am part alien. I found that out. I truly believe that. I truly believe that. I believe I've been abducted and I am somehow a form of some weird extraterrestrial race.

Young Hollywood

Hey guys, Erica Ross here in the Young Hollywood Studio with skateboard superstar Rob Dyrdek. Welcome.

Rob Dyrdek

Thank you so much for having me.

Young Hollywood

You're so welcome. I just need you to respect me. You're going to have chipmunk voice. First thing we have. What? First thing we have. All right? All right. Correct. I am your stage father. You must listen to me. So you have told us that you're on a very strict time limit because you've got a full day of press. Is that right?

Rob Dyrdek

I've got all day. No, that's not what you told us. For you, Erica Ross, I have all day.

Young Hollywood

Oh, look at that. Hit me with your hardest questions, Erica Ross. Okay. So you guys have um an autograph signing tonight, correct?

Rob Dyrdek

That's correct.

Young Hollywood

All right. Now, what is the craziest place or thing someone's had you sign?

Rob Dyrdek

I don't sign anything crazy, you know? I don't sign babies. Okay? I don't uh sign cleavage, you know what I mean? If if I have to, if I'm feeling in a good mood and you're nice, I might sign your lower back. You know what I mean? So, but that's about it.

Young Hollywood

Like a tramp stamp?

Rob Dyrdek

Yeah, you know. If you want a Rob Dyrdek tramp stamp, I could very well give you one with a marker.

Young Hollywood

Now, uh Fantasy Factory just wrapped up. Are you guys going to do another season?

Rob Dyrdek

I don't know. I don't know. It's You don't know. I don't know. It's the idea of what it takes to do that show is is a lot of energy and and I'm getting a little old to dance around like that. You know what I mean? It's it's there's coming this fine line of like can you go out again and put it on another costume? Do you want to do something dangerous again or do you want to uh evolve? Mature a little bit, so I haven't decided.

Young Hollywood

Is that the plan this year? Evolve 2012.

Rob Dyrdek

Yeah, this is very believe it or not uh I will mark 2012 as the as probably the most growth I've ever had as a human being.

Young Hollywood

Very nice. Now, with Fantasy Factory, since you said you do the craziest stunts and you don't really want to risk your life anymore, who comes up with those stunts?

Rob Dyrdek

I think for me when it comes to creating all that stuff, it's just a a a matter of seeing what's possible and and then trying to put it together, something like flipping that car, uh was a really big deal that took a really

Young Hollywood

Can we talk about how terrified you looked? Like I think that you talked

Rob Dyrdek

Okay, okay, okay, okay. My life started over then when those wheels hit the ground. But let me let me tell you about what how it worked is we spent all that money to engineer. They were supposed to make sure it worked first. The one time they tried it, the car disintegrated. So, they were like, "No, you're good. You're fine." So, they didn't even set anything up. They didn't even the way they lined it up, that's why I had to put tape on the window and close with one eye. That was the only way I could keep it lined up. I had to go 43 mph because if I went 44, I would overshoot the ramp. If I did 42, I would hit the ramp. So, and it was like this is ridiculous. Like I'm like why am I here? Like and I had to like so it was like 44, 43, 42, 44, 43, 42, boom. And then like like eyes closed and I on my life when I hit the ground and realized that it worked and then realized the car would like I literally my whole life started over from that point because it was it was

Young Hollywood

Why are you putting yourself at this level of

Rob Dyrdek

All all in the name of good TV. All in the name of of building a legacy.

Young Hollywood

You have Street League coming up. Mm-hm. Okay. And you said on Twitter today, it's the greatest thing in your life. So, let's talk about it. Right? How can we not talk about the greatest thing in your life?

Rob Dyrdek

That's right. Second stop this week. Yes. Uh, and it's in California.

Young Hollywood

That's correct. And tell us about Street League.

Rob Dyrdek

Street League is the world premiere professional street skateboarding contest. Uh, featuring the best skaters in the world. Real-time scoring, the biggest prize money in the history of the sport. It's incredibly exciting. You tell me, how did you enjoy watching?

Young Hollywood

I loved it. It was very fun. It was very exciting. Uh, what is the prize purse?

Rob Dyrdek

1. 6 million.

Young Hollywood

Ooh. Cha, you don't mess around.

Rob Dyrdek

But we changed it this year since you uh you've already experienced it. We changed it a little bit this year to let them fall and and where before they had they carried 12 scores that accumulated. Now they only carry six. So, it ensures that every contest comes down to the very end.

Young Hollywood

All right. Now, I know that uh you have a little bit of a a hidden um obsession with a reality show. Mm-hm. You know which one I'm talking about?

Rob Dyrdek

Dance Moms? Is that a new one? American Colony? Oh, The Bachelorette.

Young Hollywood

Yes, yes. Yes. Have you been watching the season?

Rob Dyrdek

I have. I work immensely. Okay. More than I ever have in my life. But every Monday, I shut it all down. Like I'm doing so much and every Monday I'll be like, "Okay, let's let's let's wrap this up." And I don't want to get there too early because I want to be able to use the TiVo. So that I I will show up like close everything down around 8:00 so I can get to the house around 8:30, 8:45.

Young Hollywood

You make The Bachelorette a priority.

Rob Dyrdek

Yeah, I really do.

Young Hollywood

So, we um have some Twitter questions for you.

Rob Dyrdek

I'm bored.

Young Hollywood

This is from @AnnaRell1. She's in the way. Do you believe in aliens?

Rob Dyrdek

I am part alien. I found that out. I truly believe that. I truly believe that.

Young Hollywood

You are so creepy. Do you believe you're part alien?

Rob Dyrdek

I believe I've been abducted and I am somehow a form of some weird extraterrestrial race.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Well, there you go. There you have it. First here on Young Hollywood, Rob, half half alien.

Rob Dyrdek

Uh, not half. I think about 1/16. You know.

Young Hollywood

@ShellRay21 asks, what superpower would you most want?

Rob Dyrdek

Invisibility. So I could spy on my ex-girlfriend.

Young Hollywood

You can't. Uh, I would take invisibility so I could live free in the world. Be a creeper. Got it. Okay. @Sounds42 asks, what's your favorite Just

Rob Dyrdek

I should have fly. I should have fly.

Young Hollywood

Okay, we can change it. You want to fly now?

Rob Dyrdek

I want to fly since I just got called a creeper. Okay. So I could fly everywhere. My favorite Justin Bieber song, which I was listening on the way to over here, is Down Your Arms. Okay. Have you heard it?

Young Hollywood

I have not.

Rob Dyrdek

You should hear it. It's a very rich and soulful. It reminds me of the Down Michael Jackson 5 era of Michael Jackson. It's very it's a wonderful song. I think you'll really enjoy it.

Young Hollywood

From @NiceGuy, who is the most interesting celebrity you've met?

Rob Dyrdek

I guess Lil Wayne's kind of interesting. He seems pretty interesting. Like it's the here's the thing about Lil Wayne is you can't help but talk to his mouth. You know what I mean? It's like it's like you try not to and as you talk but his mouth is all diamonds. Like so it's like you naturally do not have the ability to not look at his mouth. So it just got to the point where I couldn't I couldn't even keep trying to try. I just like it's like I just I kept trying to figure out how to not look at his mouth, you know?

Young Hollywood

Well, thank you so much, Rob, for being here in the studio with us today. We will all check out Street League. Thank you.

Rob Dyrdek

It was very fun.
