What's going on, guys? Hanging with me right now, I have Lana Condor and Anthony de la Torre. Woo. And their fur baby Emmy. Hi baby girl. Say hi. Say hello. Oh my gosh, look. She can have whatever she wants, right?
Oh, 100%.
What she had this morning? Did she have a lot?
We never say no. We I know. We never say no to her.
How could you say no to her? She's so cute. You can't. It's not possible. This is So, Lana, we were just talking about how she came into your life and she follows you guys everywhere. It's so fun.
Yes, she does. Like she's she's been with us for a year and we, I mean, listen, I don't think there's ever like a convenient time to get a dog, but it's always like the best decision. Like hasn't she been like
Oh, she's been the best. She's been such a wonderful companion. She also gave us more routine.
Okay, love that.
Yeah. Yeah. So, she she's been really awesome for the both of us. Yeah. Yeah.
I think that was her agreeing like, "Yeah, mom and dad." She's so dramatic. She want, she wants, she wants to like say hi to everyone quietly.
Okay, when's her birthday? Do you guys know her birthday?
Her birthday is January 14th. No, I'm sorry. November 14th. November 14th.
Oh, well, you guys don't understand, he knows all the dates like in life. Like if there's important dates, birthdays, all this stuff, he knows and I, I don't know a single thing. I'm basically her assistant. No. You know, so yeah.
But that makes you guys a good match. You know, you compliment each other, right?
For sure. For sure. Yeah. Yeah.
Well, there's so many congratulations for the both of you that we have to get to this interview. Lana, we're gonna start with you. Okay. Yes. PS I still love you. Yes. Sequel to all the boys. How does it feel that it's finally here?
It just feels really good. Like I at the end of the day, it's like we got to make this movie because the fans are so supportive and loyal to it. And they really wanted to see, um, they really wanted to see more of Lara Jean's story and and her relationship with Peter. And and when we made the first movie, we didn't we didn't know we were gonna get a sequel or a third. So, it was really because of them that we got it. And so I'm really excited. I mean, I I was I'm like nervous but I'm really, really excited because I love I know, well, I just sequels are hard, but I love the movie very, very much. And and I think people who've seen it already so far it's been really positive. So, we'll see, but I'm I'm just really happy for it. And then we did the third one already. We shot that we shot two and three back-to-back. So, that will that one will be coming out as well.
So incredible. Yeah. So hard working all of you guys. It's crazy. Um, but such an incredible cast. I mean you, we have Noah, Jordan, Ross, that came in for the sequel. Yeah. How's it working with all those guys?
I mean, they're so amazing. Like Noah and I have great chemistry. Um, we we like to say like now that it's you, Noah, and um, Jordan, Jordan. He calls them uh my three boyfriends. Yes, the three of us. Yeah. Yeah. You know, yeah. The three of us all together. But no, they're so great. Ross is so hilarious. Um, Ross and Jordan, um, they're new character, they're new to the, to the movies. Um, but they they assimilated so easily. Like they just dropped in and it was so great. And Jordan had really big kind of shoes to fill and he did a fantastic, fantastic job. So, they're amazing. And then we got to work with Holland Taylor who plays Stormy, she's new. Sorry, her blue. She's the neighbor. We had a bunch of new cast members. And typically that can be tough. But it it's been really amazing. And they are fantastic and great additions to the movie. Like I'm so honored to be with all of them and work with them.
Well, we actually just had Ross here like a few days ago. Oh, yay. Yes. And I asked him as Ross with what he knows about the storyline who he would choose for Lara Jean between Peter and
What did he say? Did he say Did he say Ross?
He didn't actually, he said Team Peter. Really? So, I want to know as Lana and Anthony, who would you guys choose for Lara?
I I may I?
You may. I wanna know this. I haven't asked you. And then I want Emmy's answer too.
Yeah. Well, she she has a strong opinion on this actually, too. Um, I am Team Lara Jean, 100%.
Yes. I love that answer. I love that. He's almost safe. Your turn.
I I too am Team Lara Jean, but if I had to if I had to um pick between Peter and John Ambrose, I I would still go with Peter, I think.
Yeah, they're the OG, you know?
They are. They are. But, you know, for sure. But the but that kind of changes like for us, it's actually changes all the time because it's like sometimes I you know, I watch Jordan's performance and I'm like, "Oh, man, that's like really compelling." So.
No, honestly the first time I watched it I Team Jordan or Team John. Second time I was I was I was Team Peter.
Really?
I think so. I think so. And now you're Team Lara Jean.
Yes. Yes, the third time. The third time. So cute. And what about you, Emmy?
She's like I'm Team Emmy. Yeah, she's very vocal. I can't get over the eyes. What's wrong? What what you want? Oh, oh. Am I boring you, Emmy? Big yawn. Um, okay, so Lana, I feel like I already know your answer to this, but
Okay. If you could have any celebrity come and just star in the films like even if it's for reboot just for funsies, who would you choose?
Zac Efron. Oh, that's a surprise answer. Oh, The Rock. Zac Efron or The Rock? There was a real moment there where I was like there was a real moment there because I love The Rock. Like I'm obsessed with him. And um There's a real moment I was like, "Is there any way we could like beg him to like come in for two seconds to do the movie?" Right? That world was not real. But in my head I was like that would be great.
Well, I have Michelle Obama.
Oh, yes. Also, all three are great answers to be honest. And oh, yes, Michelle Obama. You know what? She could take my role. She could play Lara Jean and I would gladly bow out for her. Just step aside. Let her do it. Yes.
Well, fun fact, Michelle doesn't follow us on anything yet, but Yes. For real. Barack does. He follows us on Twitter. That's a man. We're friends.
No, we're not friends.
No, you're not. But in our dreams. Really? But I. He does follow us though. That's awesome. So, maybe one day. Manifest it.
Yeah. I love you. That's that's a whole other conversation about manifesting that's so cool. I love that.
Oh, and Zac Efron has been here. So we've we've got our all the three. It's all here. We have the ingredients for this. Absolutely.
I didn't I didn't feel nervous for this until I saw that photo of Zac Efron.
Really? I was like he sat here in your spot actually on that side. That's right. Okay. All right. I love it. So switching gears. Yes. Anthony, your new EP. Yes. Find Me. Congratulations.
Thank you so much. I'm so, so happy and excited. Um, it's been a long time in the making. Uh, it is the first artistic endeavor that I get to do where I have complete creative control over it. So, it it means the world to me. Um, yeah, it's been really, really fun. And the best part is that I got to do a song with Lana. So, that was super, super dope.
So crazy. Raining in London.
Rainin' in London with you. Yes. You've worked so hard on this EP. But yeah, we did Rainin' in London together. And that is coming out on the 19th, right?
Yes, yes. Along with the rest of the EP.
I was like, "Oh, and the rest of the EP." Yeah. I hate like I love to sing like in the shower, but I hate like singing in any other
Really?
Environment or any other stake whatsoever.
Well, no, on the way to auditions you always rocked out to Hamilton.
Yeah, that's true. But I don't like to sing. I don't like to sing like in front of people. And so when we Yeah. When we were recording, when we were recording the song, I was like, "I don't want anyone to listen to me singing." I was like. I think that there were actual moments where you hated me. When I was I was like, "Don't make me do it."
Yeah. I was gonna ask if there were any fun moments like that.
Oh, no. But like most recording artists have that when when they first start recording, they hate their vocals. They think that they have no talent. But she, I mean she started off like that because she had never recorded before. But by the end of it she was, I mean her confidence, she was killing the track. And it was really, really cool to see you go through that evolution, you know, to to end up at the end of the project feeling good about what what you were doing. Yeah. Yeah.
That's so cool. That's awesome. Talk to me about the lyrics about Rainin' in London. Like what's the inspiration behind the song, all that good stuff?
Okay, so so I have to say originally we had another song that we had written and recorded called See You that was actually about us and our relationship. And it was towards the end of the recording process of the EP.
And then my buddy and producer Johnny Prenice sent me Rainin' in London which he had made with another friend of ours, Sarah Troy. And we just fell in love with the story. Nothing to do with our story, but we fell in love with the story, we fell in love with the production of it. Oh, thank you, mama. Thank you. She's like I like it too. Yeah. She's like I love Rainin' in London. Very very good. Yeah. Um, yeah, we just fell in love with the production and and the story of it. Um, and you know, we're both actors, so we we we love a good story. And a dramatic story. Yeah. You're an actor too. Yeah. She's very dramatic. She's extremely dramatic. I think she is. Yeah.
So, I am curious, so we talked about um with Ross that you guys are all Tauruses. You, Ross, Noah, Jordan. I know. And then Anthony, I don't know your birthday. I didn't look.
November 24th. I'm a Sagittarius.
Okay. I like that. That makes that You guys are fun.
Mhm. I like Sagittarius.
But I'm a sadge.
But I'm a sadge. You're like I don't know a single thing about it. No. Anything about that stuff. Really don't. No. But yeah, we all are Tauruses. And I think honestly that's why we all got along together. Yeah. We're very similar. Wouldn't you say like our baseline personalities like me, Noah, Jordan and Ross are very similar?
For sure. For sure. Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's so fun. Like when we would all hang out, sometimes I'd be like, I feel like I'm looking into like reflections. Is isn't Madeleine a Taurus, too?
No. No. No, I don't think so, no. Probably a sadge. She's probably a sadge. I know. Like typically like exclusively like sadge. You know. And then Emmy would be a Capricorn. Nope. You said November, not, wait you said January 1st. And then November 14th, oh she's a Scorpio.
Scorpio. That shows you how deeply invested I am in astrology. My knowledge is very extensive. Yes. Yes. Gorgeous. Yes.
