Havana Brown

Hey, it's Havana Brown and I'm about to do my interview with Young Hollywood.

Young Hollywood

And we're just about here. I'm here with the lovely Havana Brown. How are you?

Havana Brown

Hello. I'm good. How are you?

Young Hollywood

Thanks for stopping in.

Havana Brown

No, thank you for having me.

Young Hollywood

And you're everywhere. You're not just here, you're everywhere. Your music right now is just blowing up around the world.

Havana Brown

Well, yes. It's doing really well.

Young Hollywood

It is doing well. It is doing well. So congratulations on that.

Havana Brown

Thank you. Thank you.

Young Hollywood

And this didn't just obviously come from nothing. How did this all start for you?

Havana Brown

Oh, well, look, I've been DJing for like eight years now. Right. Like so I've been DJing for a very long time, but before that I was actually making music and singing and recording. And um then I started DJing. That took off and I was doing really well doing that and then I just got a bit itchy and I wanted to get back in the studio and start working on my own music.

Young Hollywood

As a DJ. And the DJ world you I mean you've you've toured with some amazing like Rihanna and Gaga and Britney and all these people. When that first started happening, was it like, whoa?

Havana Brown

Yeah, well, absolutely. I didn't think that um at that stage there'd never been a DJ supporting an artist. Right. And it was a great idea because it was fresh, it was new. And it wasn't tiring for the crowd, you know, and it was very exciting and got everyone in the right mood in the party mood. And um so it was really successful for me and it helped me um grow my name and my DJ career overseas as well. And I was touring a lot here as well before I released music. So Yeah, I know. It's been really great for me.

Young Hollywood

Right. And warrior is the new the new record. It's coming out.

Havana Brown

Yes, it is.

Young Hollywood

Which you look phenomenal in.

Havana Brown

Oh, thank you.

Young Hollywood

Very feisty. Yeah. I think that's the right term. Feisty. You see I'm just holding it around like this in the video. Is that, did you like that? Did you like that? I could have done that. I could have done that if you could stand great.

Havana Brown

Yeah, I did. I had to practice for, you know, months for that. I like it. You know, so.

Young Hollywood

I like it. Um and you write all your own music as well.

Havana Brown

Yeah. Oh, yeah, absolutely. I work with great producers and writers. You know, I like to write with different people and yeah, I'm very involved in the whole creative process.

Young Hollywood

And now Pitbull's been a big part of your career as well. hasn't he?

Havana Brown

Yes.

Young Hollywood

Another another small name that's been around.

Havana Brown

Yeah, just one.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. How did you and you guys work work quite a lot together. How did that come about?

Havana Brown

Um, well, I released "We Run The Night" in Australia. Right. And um that was without Pitbull. Right. It didn't have Pitbull on it. But then when we were going to release it internationally, RedOne re-did the production on it and he asked Pitbull to be involved in it. And when he heard the track, um he loved it and I was too actually I was touring with him at the same time with Enrique Iglesias as well. So we got to meet and it was just kind of like the star sort of aligned and it kind of worked out that way. Yeah, literally it worked out that way. Stars aligned. Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull. And, you know, it it was it it was like an honor for him to be on the track because I've been playing his music since I started DJing and um way back before he was commercially on radio. You know, like when he was doing record time and um so I I admired him. He knows how to get people moving.

Young Hollywood

Dreams coming true in Hollywood. Now you have traveled a lot doing this. Where in the world uh do you think has the craziest dance scene? Crazy in a good way.

Havana Brown

I think um Miami, Vegas, Paris is amazing. I've had some of my best shows I've ever done um in Paris. So with like 43,000 people in the stadium. It's unbelievable. Right. So that would be one of my favorites.

Young Hollywood

Love it. And is there anywhere where you haven't been for you'd love to do a set or perform?

Havana Brown

You know what? Yeah, there's a couple of places. Hawaii, for some reason I haven't been there.

Young Hollywood

You've not been to Hawaii. You've not been there at all?

Havana Brown

No.

Young Hollywood

What's going on? I've been like to places I, you know, I never heard of previously. I've never been to Hawaii. I really want to.

Young Hollywood

Make us out Hawaii, give Havana a call. Make a booking. Come on, what are you thinking? She's huge right now. When you're on tour, three things that you can't do without. You can't be without. You couldn't live without.

Havana Brown

Oh, my laptop. Okay. Oh, it's all work related. It's really boring. So.

Young Hollywood

Well, that's all right. We can see your boring side as well. We don't expect you to be jumping up and down.

Havana Brown

Laptop, headphones, SD cards and my dog.

Young Hollywood

My dog. You left your dog.

Havana Brown

No, I haven't left my dog. No.

Young Hollywood

You've got your laptop, your SD card and your headphones and your poor little dog's at home dying of starvation.

Havana Brown

See, Georgie, you don't know how lucky you are with me. I look after you. I look after you.

Young Hollywood

The single. Yes. That's coming out everywhere in the world December 17th.

Havana Brown

Yes. Which is exciting.

Young Hollywood

Warrior. Warrior. You are a warrior. When will the actual full record, when can we get the album?

Havana Brown

Well, the album will be out early next year. Okay. So um and possibly an EP before that.

Young Hollywood

Okay. This girl, if you haven't heard her, what rock have you been under? Havana Brown. And you look great as well. Look at these

Havana Brown

Thanks.
