Well, thank you so much for having me. It's uh it's kind of uh it's a weird feeling being here, you know. Um like I said earlier, I followed Young Hollywood for such a long time and finally being able to sit down on this couch and and see this backdrop is absolutely wild.

No. No, you can do whatever you want. No, no worries. Well, first and foremost, congratulations on the CW called All American. How does it feel to be the CW's like newest heartthrob?

Thank you. I don't want to be considered a heartthrob. To me, whenever I think of heartthrob, I think of, you know, the the the first thing that you you see whenever you see that guy is is physical attraction. I want to be considered, you know, at some point in my career, I want them to recognize me for being a good actor first.

Well, I think that's part of the reason why the show is so good because everyone on the show, like the cast, so talented. And we have Taye Diggs, we have our buddy Cody Christian, who we have to shout out. He's great.

Cody Christian all day long. Whoop.

Did you guys get into a little bit of a tiff?

Punches were thrown. Punches were thrown. Wrestling moves were made. Yeah.

So how is that with like choreography and stuff? Or do you guys just kind of go for it?

You know, uh the punching was the the the throw of the punch was choreographed but the fight that you guys see in the background, that was just all improv. We just kind of did it one take and they were like, we love that. Keep doing that. Keep doing that. So we're like, all right, bet. Me and Cody were just, you know, we bounce off each other cuz you know, we're good friends and uh we we were able to make that scene, you know, I I think we did a good job of that.

Well, because we love Cody so much, like anything that you can tell us about Cody that we might not know.

Uh, well, I don't know if you know this, but he is big on music. Did you guys know that already? He's a rapper. He's like in rapping and he's good. Yeah. And he's genuinely good. He's good. Like I'm so like I I I keep telling him, when are you going to drop this song? When are you going to drop this song? He has one song that I absolutely love and when he drops it, it's going to be on repeat.

Well, the show also has really good music. It feels like it's like top 40 just like such good hits all the time.

Oh, we got Sam Smith on there. We got Post Malone on there. I think Shawn Mendes even.

Young Hollywood fans are obsessed with Shawn, so I had to call him out.

Shawn Mendes, man, he's he's doing great music.

Who do you like to listen to?

You know, I listen to a lot of NF. Okay. Are you familiar with him? He's kind of like, um, he's kind of like an M and M style rapper but he's very clean.

So when you're not being a really good actor, what are you up to like on your off days? What do you like to do?

Daniel comes over on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We sit down, we order a whole bunch of food and we watch football if it's on or we play football. We play Madden, um when we watch cartoons. And that is literally been my my Friday through Sunday for the past six months.

You're talking about Daniel Ezra?

Daniel Ezra, yes.

Okay, I had no idea that he was from England.

Yeah. I don't think a lot of people know that actually cuz his American accent's like on point. He's pristine.

I'm going to put you on the spot again. Can you do an Can I do an English accent, mate?

Um, you know, I can do a little bit of Danny Ezra, um but it's not very good. It's not very good. I think it sounds so good. All right, so I tried to learn from him and he teaches me some words and what not to say, but I can't do it.

Last but not least before we go, um because you're like a young cool actor, we want to get some dating advice.

Sure.

We're going to play a game. Uh oh. Um it's called, what would Michael do? And I'm going to give you scenarios and you just have to answer them. Are you ready? Do you want to take a bite of the donut first before you get started?

I would love to take a bite so that way I can think about it.

First one. What do you do when you get stood up on a first date?

I would go home.

You would just leave?

I would go home. If if if we set up a date, 30 minutes goes by, you're still not there. Go home. Play Xbox.

And then like ideal first date since we're on this topic.

The long dinner is good. Yeah. Um, a nice restaurant and then you know, go out and walk around. You know, LA is so nice because the weather is just beautiful all year around.

What do you do when you're being ghosted by someone you really like?

Oh, my God, I hate being ghosted.

It has happened to you. Oh, come on, who would do that to you?

People are ruthless. I do my best to never ghost anybody. Yeah. Because I hate how it feels to me. But whenever I get ghosted, I just uh, I just usually I look at the phone, I notice the time, I take the L and I just kind of Yeah. Take the L and I just go, you know, I just uh

What do you do when you screenshot a conversation and send it back to that person?

You got to cover in a way. Oh, I was sending that to my buddy. I thought this was funny. Or you just like, you know what? To be honest with you, I I just I I fudged that up.
