Does Anthem of a Teenage Prophet Star Peyton List Believe In Psychics?

Yeah. So and do you have any resolutions?

I have boring resolutions, honestly. What about you? It's just like go have fun and do whatever you want. Yeah. So, yeah. I have barely slept. I was even having fun. Yeah, I'm just like, you know what? Go have fun because I feel like I work so much and I'm only 20. And so then I'm like, wait, you need to also even though work's so work's so fun for me. That's probably why, but I'm also having like very normal nights too with my friends.

You have such a busy year. You have so many projects. Yeah, you just joined what? Season two of Cobra Kai. Is that what I said?

Yeah. Yeah. That's why I have this brown hair right now.

Yeah. We're loving the brown hair on her, by the way. Yeah, we keep talking about her. So, that's cool. Yeah, I read that and I read that the writer said, "We love turning a former Disney princess bad." What do you think about that?

I I think that's hilarious. I I kind of love it too. They kept saying that to me too. Um It was fun because it was such a different character to play. Like when I went out for the audition, I studied 30 minutes the night before. Usually, when I go in for something, I study it so hard. I like really look into it. And I just thought there's no way I'm getting this character. I'll just go in for it, whatever. I have nothing else to do. But I'm not getting it because it was this super intense, badass character that just fights and and isn't afraid of confrontation and will take anyone down that's in her way or that crosses her basically. Like she's a good person until you cross her. Yeah. And I was just thinking, nah, that's just really not me. I'm like, I tripped on the camera on my way in here. But then um but then I went in and they were like, that was phenomenal. And they use the word phenomenal. I was like, I'm sorry? What? And then I came out thinking that went really, really well. But I was shocked. I think it's really when you don't care about something. That sometimes it just works. They could tell like feel that vibe that you're just like, I don't care if I get this or not, you know?

Yeah. I mean I cared about getting it but I didn't think I would.

Yeah.

And aside from that project, you have this new film Anthem of a Teenage Prophet.

Yes.

Which is so cool and you have a song in it as well. So you're singing, you're acting, you're doing so much. What can you tell us about this movie though?

So much of my heart is in it. It's it was so many years beforehand. It's based off a book um and we had all been trying to get it to come together and then Cameron Monaghan who's starring in it. He kind of came on board. Then the ball started rolling from there and Juliette Lewis signed on. And his character in the movie predicts a death of a friend in this in this movie. He predicts the death of his best friend while they're all like getting in the basement and everyone laughs and thinks he's being ridiculous. Yeah. And then the next day it ends up coming true. Um, in a 7-Eleven parking lot, his best friend Stan ends up getting killed by a van on a skateboard. And so uh and his best friend Stan is my character face's boyfriend. And so they're both kind of coping with the death and also feeling these feelings that they probably shouldn't be feeling because, you know, her boyfriend just passed and it's just a complicated relationship.

Do you believe in stuff like that? Like, do you think that people can predict things? Like, have you ever gone to a psychic and they've you felt like they were dead on about your future and things like that?

You know, I have never gone to one but I've had people come up to me and say things that are gonna happen. Like crazy fans. You know, I'm gonna run off with me Peyton one day.

Oh, will I? Really? Okay. Bye. But they've said things to you like predicting your future or

Someone came up to me and said I'm gonna have three divorces. Which I really hope is not true. Like Elizabeth Taylor. Please no. Like I think after one marriage, I'd be like, we don't need the whole wedding thing to happen again. Right?

Yeah. Why would someone tell you you're gonna have three divorces? Like, dude, I'm like 21. Just chill out.

Exactly. My mom, she gets weird feelings. I don't know what the heck. They're usually she goes they're they're weird she'll tell me them because they're usually like slightly off. Um, she'd be like, you're gonna get in a car accident. And then the police will pull me over because my friend wasn't wearing a seatbelt or something weird. She has that mom premonition.

Speaking of predicting your own future here. Yes. Fun quick little game. Really tough questions. Oh, gosh. What will you be having for dinner tonight, Peyton List?
