Prepare yourself for one last crane kick!

If you’re not familiar with The Karate Kid spin-off/sequel series, "Cobra Kai", you better get to watching. Part 1 of the 6th and final season premieres on Netflix on July 18!

Part 2 will be released on November 28, and Part 3 will come out sometime in 2025, but to prepare for Part 1, let's recap the chaotic antics of Season 5!

The season started on a high note for Cobra Kai as Tory Nichols (Peyton List) won the All Valley Karate Tournament, making headlines for the dojo and causing them to open multiple locations throughout the Valley. Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) ended up taking over as head sensei after John Kreese (Martin Kove) was sent to jail for assaulting a former Cobra Kai student.

While Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) ended up disbanding Miyagi-Do and teaming up with Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) to expose Silver for bribing the judges at the All-Valley Tournament, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and his son Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) brought Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) back from Mexico after he went on a journey to find his father. Johnny, Daniel, and Chozen later joined forces, creating Miyagi-Fang, to teach together as Silver brought in new forces to advance Cobra Kai even more as they pitted their students against each other.

While in jail, Kreese ended up recruiting Tory as a double agent to get dirt on Silver for Johnny and Daniel to use to take down the now-growing beast of Cobra Kai.

Leaving The All Valley Karate Tournament behind, the new convention every dojo was trying to get a coveted spot in is the Sekai Taikai international tournament. Both dojos gained a spot in the competition after they went head-to-head, showing passion, skill, and agility.

The season ended in an all-out battle when the Cobra Kai students realized Tory was a traitor, but the Miyagi-Fang athletes were able to broadcast the video of Silver bribing the judges, forcing them to see the truth. At the same time, the senseis were getting into a fight of their own, but Daniel was able to stop the riot with the same move that started the whole franchise -- He took down Silver with the iconic crane kick before the students stripped off their Cobra Kai jerseys in disgust. With Terry Silver in jail and John Kreese having just escaped, we're in for a remarkable Season 6!

As for who is on what side going forward? Season 5 showcased Miguel, Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser), Hawk (Jacob Bertrand), Demetri (Gianni DeCenzo), Robby, and Anthony LaRusso (Griffin Santopietro) with Daniel and Johnny, while Tory, Devon Lee (Oona O'Brien), and Kenny Payne (Dallas Dupree Young) were with Cobra Kai. The show will pick up after the all-encompassing fight between Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai with Johnny and Daniel trying to restore peace in the Valley.

"While this may be a bittersweet day for the fandom, the Miyagi Verse has never been stronger," the co-creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg wrote. "This fandom is the BEST on the planet and we hope to be telling more Karate Kid stories with you down the line. Because as we all know, Cobra Kai Never Dies."
