Madison Beer

Hey guys, it's Madison Beer. I'm gonna be singing my new single Dead for You. You could be here but you're there, you could be anywhere These days I don't even care no more You only give me love whenever you've had too much Whatever's been filling your cup no more

Young Hollywood

Young Hollywood, what up? We're with Madison Beer here at the Young Hollywood Studio.

Madison Beer

In the flesh.

Young Hollywood

In the flesh. You just performed Dead. You were teaching me that cool dance move.

Madison Beer

Oh, it's not, it's really not that cool. I think I just you wanted a little lesson, I tried to give it to you but I'm not the best person to give that lesson. I'm really good at it. I'm I'm probably I'm probably top five worst at it so I'm not such a good

Young Hollywood

Okay, try it. Let me show it to you. Yes, let's see it.

Madison Beer

No, no, no, let's not we discussed.

Young Hollywood

What? You're embarrassing me. Come on. We've been practicing for the last hour here. Let's see it, let's see it.

Madison Beer

No, no, that was it. Come on. It's just a sneak peek. Dead is like Dead is that song is. It's vibey, it's super vibey. It is vibey. Um, I'm really proud of it. I mean, I don't want to say I've never been proud of a song like this before, but I feel like now I'm really but like I've had experience in my life rather than when I wrote and did my other songs, I was kind of still really young and just like pulling inspo from other people, whereas now I've kind of experienced things and I've gone through things and I kind of have like real emotion attached to my music. So it feels really good to be proud of something like this. I'm excited about it. 'Cause you say you can't live without me So why aren't you dead yet? Why are you still breathing why? If you say you can't live without me Then why aren't you dead yet? Why do you say that? Why, why, why, why? Why, why, why, why? Why, why, why, why?

Young Hollywood

There's a line in there. I don't think I can live without you. Is that the line?

Madison Beer

No, it's close.

Young Hollywood

How is it? What is it?

Madison Beer

You say you can't live without me. You say you can't live without. The whole point is that I can live without you, but you said you couldn't live without me, so why aren't you dead yet? I've said that so many times and I'm still alive. Well, that's why I'm asking the age-old question. I gave you so many shots but you keep drinking them all And you never gave it a thought No more, no more showing up when you're not sober At my front door just to say, "I love, love you tonight" You're trying to mess me and my mind up. But to remind that you lie, and you know, know I'm right

Young Hollywood

How long did it take you to write this song?

Madison Beer

Um, I actually co-wrote it. I was like really invested in it. Like I don't know, I just really wanted it so super bad. There was other artists that wanted it as well. So I was like fighting for it at the end. I was like, I want this one, I love this song.

Young Hollywood

Were you fighting against Rihanna for this song?

Madison Beer

Oh, if I was fighting against Rihanna I'd be like, have it, I'm just I'm happy that my name's even on touching it. But um, no, I don't even know what other artists wanted it, but I just know that like it was spoken about. Um, so I'm glad it ended up in my favor. Be careful what you say Say only what you mean Mean to me then you're nice, you're nice, you're nice It's nice to know you now Now that it all went down Down on your knees you cry, you cry, you cry And you say you can't live without me So why aren't you dead yet? Why are you still breathing why?

Young Hollywood

We're gonna play a cool little game with you real quick. I'd be dead without. Definitely relating to your song, Dead. I love the little coffin. Guys, do you see this? How cute are we? So these are questions I'd be dead without. I toothbrush, deodorant. What would you what would you dead without?

Madison Beer

Both. But, um, I'd probably say more a toothbrush. Deodorant I could I could do without cause I could shower instead. But brushing your teeth is definitely a necessity.

Young Hollywood

Instagram or Twitter?

Madison Beer

I like Instagram a little bit better, but I like Twitter for different reasons because I can talk to my fans on Twitter.

Young Hollywood

Pancakes or chocolate?

Madison Beer

Chocolate is my go-to.

Young Hollywood

Your singing voice or your sight?

Madison Beer

Ooh. That's actually really difficult. 'Cause singing has like genuinely saved my life. Like it's like changed and saved my life so many times. Like I I'd probably say my eyes, but I probably would still say my I don't know. That's really hard. Yeah, whoever wrote that is crazy. Why, why, why, why? Why, why, why, why? Why, why, why, why? Why aren't you dead yet? Why, why, why, why? Why aren't you dead yet?
