We're Obsessed With Madison Beer's New Single "Reckless"!

Following her hit album Life Support, Madison Beer is already writing and releasing new music and fans are going crazy (as are we)! Her newest single, “Reckless”, is a powerful and emotional ballad discussing all the ways in which love can hold such a deep power over you. We’re not crying, you’re crying! Madison has said it is her favorite thing she has ever released, and the good news for us is a highly anticipated music video will be dropping on June 29th!

Off the heels of her dreamy and cinematic debut album, Madison’s newly-released single still sounds to be in the same family as her previous album, but it also offers a whole new side of the artist. The production of the song is absolutely beautiful and captures the heartbreaking essence of the song perfectly. The song highlights just how much of a strain love and significant others can place on your heart.

With lyrics like, “You might love her now, but you loved me first / Said you'd never hurt me, but here we are (here we are) / Oh, you swore on every star / How could you be so reckless with my heart?” the emotions in Beer’s voice are evident. However, there is a lovely juxtaposition between the raw and hurtful lyrics and the dream-like mix of the song. What sounds like the delicate music from an antique jewelry box is in actuality a powerfully heart-wrenching saga of lovers town apart.

Madison has never been one to shy away from more vulnerable topics in her music, as she actively opens up dialogues regarding mental health, heartbreak, loneliness, and so much more. If this new single is any indication of what the next chapter will sound like for Madison, then we are all seriously in for such a treat.
