Our Favorite Things About

My favorite. I'm really excited. Go for it, buddy.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, this stuff is nice.

Our Favorite Things About

I don't know, you guys. This looks like, like stuff that you use like. It's real strong.

Young Hollywood

With the out-of-this-world stars of The Space Between Us, Brit Robertson, Asa Butterfield. Thanks for coming back, you guys. I feel like I've talked to both of you individually but you have been on this couch. Nice to have you back. Uh, this movie is so lovely. Gardner is the 16-year-old boy. He's met less than 15 people in his life. What if no one knows I exist? I'm raised by scientists. You both had to face a couple challenges doing this movie, you know, not just the motorbike, but you had to sing.

Asa Butterfield

Yes.

Young Hollywood

Uh, you had to train with weights. Okay, so please talk about just how to train.

Asa Butterfield

Yeah, you're weight you're weight training, yeah. Sure. Um, basically, we had weights around our ankles and kind of weight vests on. It was all to try and come up with this walk, uh, for someone who'd been on Mars their whole life. They come to Earth, they feel almost like twice as heavy. It was difficult. Uh, the hardest part is keeping keeping it consistent.

Brit Robertson

Not for me. I just think, yeah, it would be really challenging and, uh, you did a nice job.

Young Hollywood

He did well with the with the weights, you did well with the singing. Come on.

Brit Robertson

Okay, I will let you know that I was really reluctant to do the singing and the playing, but I finally gave in, and I was like

Young Hollywood

And the motorbiking, apparently.

Brit Robertson

It's too much for me. Why why are you trying to, you know, throw all this stuff at me, like I'm talented or whatever.

Asa Butterfield

Study Lab is over. Got to go. Talk tomorrow. I'm not going anywhere.

Young Hollywood

One thing that blows my mind about this movie also is people are saying that this could really happen. Like there was a simulation of people living on Mars, um, and Tell me a little bit about the research that for you guys, that you did. This movie.

Asa Butterfield

Um, when they spoke to NASA, I remember Richard called NASA and asked them about it, and they said, uh, he thought we were spying on their emails cuz they just started thinking about, uh, what would happen if the if this happened if someone was born on Mars, how would they deal with it?

Young Hollywood

No way.

Asa Butterfield

Yeah, it was really really weird. And with this whole kind of Elon Musk thing going on, it won't be that long. He's got to be careful. He's got to get people on birth control, you know, make sure

Brit Robertson

No, but for real, like precautions.

Young Hollywood

I don't think that's the word of advice. Um, you know, Gardner's favorite question to ask everybody when he arrives to Earth is what's your favorite thing about Earth? And I'm sure you've been asked that all day. So, I want to know what's your least favorite thing about Earth?

Brit Robertson

Oh. Got you there. Jellyfish.

Young Hollywood

Oh, yeah. So fun.

Brit Robertson

Jellyfish are no fun. The tiny ones. The what I think they're called like might have come something

Asa Butterfield

Alien spawn, yeah.

Brit Robertson

They're really tiny, and they'll kill you with just a poke. Evil. Um, so those guys, the little small ones.

Asa Butterfield

poke

Brit Robertson

Yeah. I really, really, really hate that noise you get. If you have a fork on a plate or something, and it goes and it makes that

Young Hollywood

Oh, yes, like nails on a chalkboard.

Brit Robertson

Oh, yeah, that's terrible. Yeah. Fork on a plate. That's probably my least favorite thing.

Young Hollywood

It is a little It is a little annoying. Yeah. Uh, you know what isn't though? Um, because this movie is out of this world, I actually went ahead and got some astronaut food, because before we

Brit Robertson

Yes, you like this stuff.

Young Hollywood

I got peaches, and then something fun, chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips.

Brit Robertson

Oh, I like peaches. I'll take the peaches, and we'll eat.

Young Hollywood

Okay, so which Okay, let's start with peaches.

Asa Butterfield

I'll go for the chocolate ice cream.

Young Hollywood

Okay. I'm really excited. Go for it, buddy. All right, we got we got another We got another layer, yeah.

Asa Butterfield

Yeah, it's just dehydrated.

Young Hollywood

Nope. Yeah, this stuff is nice. Is he okay? That is my favorite but chalk. Hmm. This is

Brit Robertson

What? Pass it over. You guys got to try this.

Asa Butterfield

No.

Brit Robertson

Hmm. I don't know, you guys. This looks like like stuff that you use like It's real strong.

Asa Butterfield

Yeah, this one's getting much worse.

Young Hollywood

Well, thank you for being such good sports here. Take some for the road. I'll take the chocolate. Anyone else?

Brit Robertson

Asa Butterfield
