All the way from Stars Hollow. You guys, Scott Patterson is hanging out with me. Thanks for uh thanks for coming out all the way over here. All the way from, you know, Smalltown Connecticut. Well, congratulations on this I don't know what to call it. Is it a revival? Is it
Okay, it's a revival. You know, it's it's like four films that they're calling episodes or they're calling uh, you know, chapters. I just got back from New York on a on a press tour and let me tell you something, the fans are going crazy for this. It is so much fun. Because it's really for them, you know. That I've kept it up like over the years.
Uh what's the oddest fan encounter you've ever had?
I had a guy in New York uh recognized me at night in the rainstorm. As he was passing by, I was in the back of the restaurant. He came in and he challenged me to a fight. Big dude. Because he didn't like in one episode during the original series how I was treating Laura and I'm not kidding. Like he wanted to like throw down with you. Like come outside now, man.
Tell me that he called you Luke. Oh my god.
He's like, you know, he says, you know, I don't like how you were treating Laura in episode 94 and season whatever. Come outside. We got to settle a score. I need to talk to you. I'm like, guy, guy. Guy. It's it's a TV show. Not real. He goes, no, no, no, no, no, no. You can't get away with that. He said, come on. So then they they came and got him. And it was actually kind of funny. You know, that sounds terrifying. He had tattoos all over his hands.
Well, I just like that this guy was a Gilmore Girls fan.
Yeah, he was, but it's like not the demo.
How did you weasel yourself out of that one?
I just didn't get out of the seat. He just got a smile.
Yeah. Clearly invested, clearly buying into it, right? He clearly binged the whole thing over Thanksgiving break. Oh, that's this girl.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
You also had a pretty illustrious career as a baseball player. Uh back in the day. You're a pitcher?
I was. I won.
Do you still play ever?
No. No time. Oh. I throw the ball around with my son. Okay. He likes to wing it at me. I kind of roll it back, you know.
So, I wanted to play a little game called odd jobs because you've had, you know, different you've had these kind of different facets of your career. And I just want you to weigh in on whether you think you could do this job or not. Okay. Uh, snake milker.
You know, I was a fan of Bill Haust when I was growing up. He used to milk King Cobras. And he was bitten many times and he used to sit in an iron lung and sort of get immune and save his life a home. So yes, so yes you could. I think due to Bill Haust's uh Tutelage, yeah, I could probably do it. I could probably figure out how to do it.
Uh, you can make $60 an hour doing this. Professional cuddler.
Oh yeah, I do it for free. Like I pay them. I'm I'm I'm just throwing this out here for you. You know, just in case you ever wanted to. I'm available. Let's get it going on.
There are some Gilmore Girls fans who would be very excited about this. I'll wear coffee colored sort of jumpsuit or something. I think it's just a flannel and a backwards cap. I think you're fine. Let's not get it. Uh, professional line stander. Like this would be tough for me. Like you literally like no. Yeah. No.
Too much concentration. Like it's just No, I don't like standing in line. I go right to the front. I had an uncle. I had an uncle who never stood in lines. He said, don't ever stand in a line. He said, this is how you get to the front of the line. Secret. Don't tell anybody. Say you're a doctor, you're late, you're delivering a baby. I have no time. Oh my gosh.
Have you used this before?
I have done this before. No one's going to buy that I am a doctor. You would think, right? Look at me. Like I'm a doctor. They buy it. They have to.
Okay, last one. Fortune cookie writer. This sounds super fun to me. That would be great. Mine would mostly just be like numbers that you should play on the lottery, but I don't know. I feel like you have some nuggets wisdom.
I would write, you know, download Haha song on iTunes. Google, Amazon, all major download platforms. Which is what everybody should do.
Scott Patterson, this was a delight. Please don't wait too long to come back. No. And we'll have some let's have some coffee. I feel like we should cuddle. Let's do it. It's okay. Let's cuddle. Let's cuddle. Let's let's who's got 60 bucks. Are you big spoon or little spoon? Are you big spoon?
Oh, always the big spoon.
Oh, you're the big spoon. Always the big spoon. That's the interview ever. Nice. I am. You're cuddling. All right. Good night.
