Drew Seeley

What's up, this is Drew Seeley. We're here doing ADR for the shortcut today at Sonic Magic Studios in Culver City, so come check out the studio with me. What's up guys? I'm here. We're ready to start recording so check it out. Let's talk about ADR. What it means. Basically, you watch the film, you know, you watch what you did and then you try to match, you know, what your mouth is doing. And uh make it sound better than what they actually got on set. So, today is gonna be a lot of running around and screaming in the woods type stuff since it's a thriller. No, I did not. That was bad. One more time. One more time. No, I did not.

Young Hollywood

Now, this is one of the first thrillers that Adam Sandler's company has done. How excited are you that you get to be a part of it?

Drew Seeley

I freaked out when I got this movie. You know, I've been a big fan of Adam since I can remember, you know, forever. Uh his brother, Scott, uh co-wrote the film. I got to hang out with him on set.

Young Hollywood

So, did you actually get to meet Adam Sandler when you did the film?

Drew Seeley

I have not, no. I have not yet met him. I feel like when I do, it's gonna be one of those embarrassing moments where like I start reciting stuff from his first CD, you know, that I used to do in high school. Like, "Honey, what?" Never mind. I'm gonna leave that one alone. Okay, wow. Um, paint the pool pink. Regrout the tile. Vacuum the driveway? This is ridiculous. Yours from Dominique.

Young Hollywood

You got a huge success from Another Cinderella Story. We've spoken a lot to Selena Gomez. How was it to work with her?

Drew Seeley

It was amazing. She was great. She was a lot of fun, you know, didn't take herself too seriously. You know, that's the way I am. We're both goofballs, so we had a lot of fun on set.

Young Hollywood

Any crazy stories?

Drew Seeley

I don't know how to drive a stick shift car, which is kinda sad by now, but they had about twenty crew guys trying to push me into frame uh when we had to pull up at Dominique's house and Selena's laughs are really that 'cause she was making fun of me for days.

Young Hollywood

Now, you write music and you're an amazing singer. You have a song where you talk about you have to actually understand that you deserve what comes to you.

Drew Seeley

I think a lot of times you can, you know, sabotage yourself. You know, the more positive you put out, the more positive you get back and that's kinda how I try to live my life and, you know, it's been working for me and that's what the song I Deserve is about.

Young Hollywood

With the internet, do you feel like you've been able to build more of a fanbase?

Drew Seeley

I do still run my own MySpace page and have a YouTube page. Uh we're getting some B-roll for today. Drew 2 Video.

Young Hollywood

Now, I notice that there's something on there that has a number on there and people leave messages and possibly you'll call them back.

Drew Seeley

And I do call them back. It's called Say Now. com and I have a phone number. It's perfect when I'm stuck in L. A. traffic, you know, on the freeway for half an hour. I call my, you know, voicemail number and I can get personal messages from the fans. I can call them, you know, call them back and uh leave them messages and it's a great way to, you know, connect like that. Hey Young Hollywood. Thanks for joining us here in the studio. Have a good one.
