Hey Young Hollywood, we're here at the kickoff to Sundance.
This is called Chef Dance.
This is where all the top chefs in the nation are coming through to show off their culinary skills.
And we're giving you exclusive access.
There's a lot of food, swag, movies.
What's your favorite going to be your favorite part?
Man, swag.
I don't think I got enough, you know what I mean.
Bags to take all this stuff home.
Everybody's trying to offer me a lot of free stuff.
What is Chef Dance all about?
They have these screens all over the place and you get to see the chef like cooking the meal as he's making it.
I don't even know what they're making, but I don't know it smells good.
What's your favorite memory of Sundance?
One of my first independent films was at Sundance.
when it was really nothing but a a little street, just Main Street.
One theater, that was in the early 80s and uh it took off after that.
But Was there as much swag in the 80s?
Uh what?
As much swag, gift bags in the 80s?
No.
No.
There was nothing.
If you couldn't get in a place then, here in something you would have gotten punched out.
We are here with the Chef James Voice of Montage.
We're kicking off the festival.
We do a four-course meal.
Tonight, this course obviously is a carpaccio of smoked salmon.
I'm going to put a little caviar, California caviar, a little salad, a little crouton with twile egg on there.
Doing a braised osso buco, start off with a little soup with truffles.
So the celebrities get swag, they get all kinds of goodies obviously in that and they get fed.
What more can you ask for?
Young Hollywood.
Thank you for having me.
Very happy to be with you.
Have a great night.
