Brittany Murphy at House of Hype

All right, so I have the pleasure of hanging out with the beautiful Miss Britney Murphy.

It has been my pleasure Miss Carlin.

Well, thank you Britney, in this fantastic studio which is oh so secret. We've been very lucky to get access in here. You're right and saying it's very secretive. Tell us a little bit about what's going on. Your husband is Simon, who's a fantastic photographer, one of my favorite photographers, has been shooting during the Sundance Film Festival. He's the official photographer for Amnesty International here in Rocks the Boat and also helping out with Blonde Magazine. So he's been taking some really beautiful images of uh people that are supporting the causes. And I see he just shot Colin Firth.

He did some incredible pictures of Colin. His favorites of the evening actually were you, madam. I'm usually very shy getting my picture taken and he was awesome.

Has he ever shot you? Have you worked with him?

Yes, that's how we met, 11 years ago. I was so excited. I thought it was the first photo shoot where I'd have hair and makeup and get to wear glamorous clothes and feel great. And it was I guess up and comers and he had shot myself and Kirsten Dunst, Nicole Kidman, all of these.

Oh you were up and comers, man. Nicole Kidman, Britney Murphy, Kirsten Dunst, how far you have come. God bless.

Thank goodness. But I remember I arrived with no makeup and um jeans and a little white tank top and uh I had a water and my hair was still wet. It was dark and long. And the photographer came out and I don't know, he said I'm the assistant. that it was Simon, but he really wasn't the assistant. I it ended up being in a back alley behind the studio in Hollywood and he's like, take another sip of the water bottle. click, got it. And it was love at first sight. And I never went to a photo shoot without makeup on again.

Have you been enjoying Sundance? What else have you been doing at the festival?

I've really been uh supporting my husband and being a photographic assistant.

I hope he appreciates you. That's a very dutiful wife.

He No, he he does. I appreciate him. He's the extraordinary one.
