TV Show In Progress

Hey, I'm Alexandra Chando from the WB. com's Rockville CA and we are at the Echoplex. AKA Club Rockville.

Young Hollywood

What's up guys? You got new agents over there. It's totally in the music. Now, this show is centered around music. Before you guys got involved, were you all interested in music or was it really cool to kind of come and see different bands and get involved in music as the shows kind of were shot.

TV Show In Progress

When bands were playing, some of us didn't even work that day, but we would come to set and just hang out and watch the bands perform and you know, just watch other scenes. And I thought that was really different.

Young Hollywood

You guys have all worked on TV. What was it like shooting for online versus television?

TV Show In Progress

We weren't on a sound stage. It was all location. We were in the club right now. It felt more like an indie film shoot, didn't it? More than TV. Yeah. We we shot a lot out of order, so it wasn't like a typical television show.

Young Hollywood

You are obviously a genius because they do call you the douche. You are known simply as the douche. Yeah. So, Did you live in Dearman?

TV Show In Progress

You have to be a genius to play a douche.

Young Hollywood

Now, Andrew, you're the guy that people don't want to really let in.

TV Show In Progress

Yeah, I'm kind of I'm I can be kind of abrasive and for some reason people don't take a shine to me right out there. I don't understand why. And Argo, the band. Despite, you know, their admitted solid, but decent songwriting abilities will be over before they began. I also play a music lover, which was easy to kind of relate to because the cool thing was is that all the types of bands that are on the show are exactly the kinds of bands that play in this area of Los Angeles. Now the abrasive aspects of it and the and the kind of geeky, now that you know, that that was a big stretch for me. I mean, that's just uh that's where my genius comes in.

Young Hollywood

Now, your character, you have to play someone who's very obsessed with music. Why?

TV Show In Progress

You like the band? I signed them.

Young Hollywood

Did you really just use Aero in a sentence? Who do you work for?

TV Show In Progress

Walt Soul Records. I just got hired an A and R. I'm the new talent scout.

Young Hollywood

How did you find your character in terms of someone who comes every night to the same club, kind of looking to discover bands.

TV Show In Progress

Every episode she talks about a certain band. So I would just kind of like be on top of that and and research those bands and make sure I know what I'm talking about. For the most part, pretty passionate about music.

Young Hollywood

Josh Schwarz put this together. Kind of the God of creating really cool shows, The OC, Gossip Girl. How excited were you when you found out that he was actually spearheading this project and he wanted you guys to be involved.

TV Show In Progress

That was one of the main reasons why I, you know, wanted to get involved in it because he's got such a knack for creating really interesting worlds and really interesting characters. And you know, he only puts out like quality stuff. Right.

TV Show In Progress

I had never heard of Josh Schwarz, but I I would do anything I can uh to get on the web.

Young Hollywood

And you might be doing something else with him. It's uh the untitled uh prequel Gossip Girl spin-off pilot. And uh what do you know about that so far?

TV Show In Progress

It's set in the 80s, which is really fun. I get to wear a dangly earring and my hair's all weird. It's really fun. And no doubt makes a cameo and they play like an 80s band which I talked to Gwen. Who cares? You want to make out? I was like, no.

Young Hollywood

And so is music also involved in this one?

TV Show In Progress

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I play a character. He's like very involved with the rock scene and um kind of punk, new wave and all that good stuff. Oh.

Young Hollywood

All right. Well, thank you for hanging out with us at the Echoplex. Stop watching Young Hollywood and go to the wb. com right now and watch Rockville CA.
