Welcome to Younghollywood. com.
Hey, what's up, everybody? I just happened to find this Young Hollywood mic in my trailer. So that's pretty cool. So I figured, you know what? While we're here on the set of my boys, I'm going to give you guys a tour. Let's go.
They got together at the end of Grease. They did? Wearing the skin tight black outfit. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So guys, who wants to tell me what the show really entails here?
It's a close knit group of friends living in Chicago that are all sports fans, poker fans.
Now, there's a lot of testosterone on this set. How do you deal with that?
There are times where I think growing up playing sports has helped to all of us. You know when to throw a little elbow, when to check somebody out of the way. Sure. At the end of a scene in a comedy, there's something called the button, which like it's the last little jokey blur that that will take you to the next scene. And we do still have fun competing for the button. You take it on your close-up. Yes. So, here's the thing is when it's your close-up, everyone else knows not to step on your lines because then that line is unusable. So when you're shooting that person's coverage, it's almost like everybody else sits back and goes, "What do you got?" This is PJ's apartment. We're at the poker table, poker, drinking, dudes. He's the poker guru. Yeah. This is why the compliments come in. I'll set everybody's chips up and then I'll deal. So then what happens is people just bet at a turn. Okay. He yells at you. He's like, "Dude, you don't bet then." And then I get teased. Oh, the poker sheriff is here.
Now, there's always that little thing that people say, "Girls and guys can't really be friends." And you have befriended a group of guys. And how many of them have you kissed?
Oh, gosh. Let's see. 10, 11, 12, 13.
Wait, wait, wait, there's not that many guys.
Oh, there's not? No. We're not including crew? Oh.
What are some of your best memories that you've had so far?
We have a mean mustache growing competition. We do. We do. I won. Yeah. Bunin had the full like strip down the middle down here and then the handlebars like hanging off his chin. So disgusting. It was awful. I saw so much lunch caught in those mustaches. Jamie said that near the end there, his was getting to the point where every time he had a meal, he needed to shower.
These couple episodes, you have Fred Savage directing. Mm-hmm. How's that been working with Fred?
As an actor, it's nice to have a director that comes from an acting background. The notes that he gives us and the sort of energy he has onset just reflect that. He's just always really pumped up and excited and he's always moving around and he stands right behind the camera, which is cool because he's right there and he's amazing. So, what's up guys? Here we are in the brand new set for the season. This is John's Club, which Brendan now runs. Very excited about that. It's a beautiful set. We've had a lot of fun here. The detail that these guys do, it's incredible. If you want, let's go this way. This is stage 23. There's so much history in all these. We're going to cut through this little shortcut, take it over stage 24. As promised, stage 24. This is Crowley's Bar. This is what we call after hours at Crowley's Bar. Normally, I host the after hours from 4:00 a. m. to 6:00 a. m. I skim off the top a little bit, but it's not too much. And here we are, PJ's apartment. When we all first showed up and started working on this set, everybody wanted to move in because it was like the most beautiful apartment you've ever seen. So that's it, guys. Thanks for joining me on the tour here of the set of My Boys here in the Paramount Studio. Before PJ gets home, I think I'm going to take a little nap. So, good night.
