Privileged to be On The Set

Welcome to YoungHollywood. com. Hey guys, I'm Carly Steel and today we're in a very privileged position, and that's because we're getting an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the CW's hit show Privileged. So I'm here with the fantastic Joanna Garcia, who plays the star of Privileged, Megan Smith.

Tell a little bit about your character.

Megan gets all the guys. This is my issue. They give me seven pages of dialogue to remember, and then they put these guys in front of me. I mean, honestly, are they wanting me to succeed or not?

You are a big animal lover. I would say pets, but it's almost like a zoo going on.

I love animals. I have four horses, two chickens, a goat, four dogs.

I hear you have some nifty moves on the dance floor. Just go.

Cotton candy, sweet as gold. Let me see that Tootsie Roll. And then double it up. Double it up. You know the Tootsie Roll? I do. You don't even have to. And then sometimes you get crazy like this. When you don't want to move, the left portion of your body, and you look, you look into the guy across the bar. Yeah. Look at his eyes. And you say, "Hey, cotton candy, sweet as gold. Let me see that Tootsie Roll." And then you go, "Hey. Hey. I'm Jill." "I'm Carly." And that's how you get a boyfriend. And that's the Tootsie Roll. That's how you get a boyfriend.

Tell us a little bit about what's going on with your character.

Lily is a bit of a troublemaker. As the season has gone on, I've managed to get myself arrested and smoked pot in public. She's learning her lesson, which is the great thing is that, you know, like all kids, you make mistakes, you learn from them, and towards the end of the season, she's kind of starting to take responsibility for herself.

What's been your favorite scene to shoot so far?

The scenes with Joe that are kind of sisterly or emotional are really fun for me and really, um, interesting. Joe's such an amazing actress.

We've had a lot of great, you know, cameos. We just recently had Pete Wentz on the show. Who would be your dream guest star?

Rory Gilmore. I really want Josh Lyman to like jump out of the West Wing and be on Privileged. I I realize it's Miami, not DC, but I mean that would be amazing.

Have you had any crazy fan moments?

When I was like volunteering for Barack Obama, like making phone calls, like someone came up to me and was like, "You on Privileged?" And like they're like such a fan, and you know, and that was fun. I'm just giving you guys a little behind-the-scenes set tour of the house. This is what we call the fancy patio. Up there is their bedrooms, the twin's bedroom, Rose and Sage. Oh, here's the kitchen. I'm now in Megan's room, my sister's room. I've actually never been in here on camera, but it's really nice. And normally her desk is right here where she's writing in the morning.
