Miranda May, whose character Lou now finds herself in the predicament of owning the camp, shows us around the campsite, including the main characters' cabins and the mess hall! We also sit down with campers and counselors alike, including Mallory James Mahoney, Raphael Alejandro, Will Buie Jr, Scarlett Estevez, Israel Johnson, and Shelby Simmons, to hear their thoughts on what to expect in the new season. Hey, I'm Miranda May. We are on the set of bunked and I think I should give you a little tour. So, right now we are at the Grizzly cabin and we're going to go inside. Woo! So, this is where our new counselor Noah sleeps. This is his bunk. And then down here we have we have Finn's bunk who his bunk is usually very dirty. Um but they cleaned it up for you all today. It is a mess.

Guest

Cuz he's the stinky.

Miranda May

Yeah. He's he's the mess. And then Mateo is over here, who is our very smart scientist little camper.

Young Hollywood

So, what is a typical day like for you working on a Disney show?

Guest

Mondays we do a table read and then we'll rehearse. Tuesday and Wednesday we rehearse then we do a run through. Thursday and Friday is for shooting days. So we like the whole script. Second guest: Yeah. One of my favorite days, definitely. I love filming.

Guest

Yeah, my favorite is filming days too. Yeah. Most of the times we get out early and it's great. But sometimes sometimes we're here till really, really, really late.

Miranda May

So we shoot a lot of stuff out here, um around the campfire or at the picnic table in front of the cabins. That's our mess hall. You're going to see this board when we go over to the mess hall because that's what would be on the other side. This is paper. The magic of Hollywood, guys.

Young Hollywood

What can you tell me about your character for this season?

Miranda May

Season 4 is a really different season for Lou because she now owns the camp. And so watching her take on that responsibility and learning how much goes into running a camp has been really fun.

Guest

Finn is definitely a super fun, energetic, super fun character to be around. He's a little smelly, kind of messy, but overall in general, he's just a really fun person to be around. Second guest: Uh, Destiny, she's very intense. Um as we have seen in season 3. But we definitely see a lot of changes in her this year. Um and I think it's really cool. Like we have all through the story, we have like more relatable story lines, which are really good.

Guest

My character is kind of like the germ freak/inventor type of the group. Now I'm just evolving to more, you know, just overall shenanigans instead of, you know, just staying inside of my cabin. Second guest: Gwen, she grew up in the woods. Her parents are kind of hippieish, kind of like, she's weird. What she's a No, she's weird. Sometimes she'll just say things that she think kind of like match the subject that they're talking about when it really has nothing to do with the subject.

Guest

Well, I play Noah. I'm a counselor in the Grizzly cabin, which is pretty cool. My character is very overdramatic. Mhm. Um he he tries very hard to be a good counselor. And I also play the trombone. Which is pretty cool. Second guest: I play Ava, and she has a lot of layers to her because she she has a lot of walls and and she's very tough on the outside. And, you know, she's not a huge fan of emotions because, you know, gross. But But, um, as the show develops, like you see that more sensitive side to her because she's very sensitive and she's she feels deeply and she's a good listener. She kind of develops this like big sister role to like Gwen and Destiny that helps her feel more at home because she starts off feeling really out of place.

Miranda May

The mess hall. The mess hall. So if you guys remember that sign I said that would be in here. There it is. And you come in and this is what would have been on the other side.

Young Hollywood

In scenes as an actor where you're eating real food, are you actually eating that food? And is that food that you wanted to eat?

Guest

So we did an episode for this season that involved ice cream. And I'm pretty sure we ate like six gallons of ice cream that day because all of us just kept eating it. And each like for continuity, it has to match what it was before. So they'd keep coming in and filling up our ice cream and we just kept eating it because love it. We care about continuity as well.

Young Hollywood

Have you guys ever been to a real camp before?

Guest

I have not. Second guest: You haven't.

Guest

No. Second guest: You have.

Guest

Yes. Second guest: You have not.

Guest

Camp was super fun. I was there for one week. It was a little bit of a different experience from here because there you were kind of like told to do what what they wanted you to do, but here you can just do whatever you want and it's

Young Hollywood

That sounds like more fun.

Guest

A little bit more laid back. Yeah. Second guest: I went to day camp.

Guest

You did. Second guest: Which was fun. Yeah. So in my summer, I would go to day camp. And it was fun. I mean, we did art, we had like learned how to do archery, and we did arts and crafts, and so many things. But

Young Hollywood

Were you like really into camp or were you like the one that was like, "I don't feel like making." Second guest: I loved camp and I went with my sister. Okay. And one day I went, we went out in the woods and I ended up I had hives. And so we were convinced that that was the end of the line for me.

Guest

I slept in my backyard once. Okay. So that counts. Right.

Young Hollywood

Did you think Oh, did you think I actually went to camp? No.

Guest

Okay, that can that can count. Second guest: Well, I've been on a sleep away camp before and I've also gone camping at this place called El Capitan. It's like you have like it's kind of like a cabin, but it's like bougier cabin. So it's like like actual beds and like an actual kitchen. So it's really cool. You're not in a tent. You're in actual kind of like kind of looks like these cabins, but they're bigger and like like kind of like a loft.

Guest

I've been outside. That counts, right? Second guest: That's a start.

Miranda May

This is the woodchuck cabin. Ava, the new counselor in the woodchuck cabin sleeps up here. And then this is Destiny, our little pageant girl that we met in season 3 who's back with us for season 4. Um you can see she has some trophies. This is Gwen, who her bed is really simple because Gwen has never lived anywhere but in the woods. Um so she has some rocks and things like that, but besides that, she's never even had a bed.

Young Hollywood

If you could describe season 4 in one word, what would it be?

Guest

Heartfelt. This season is probably the most we've ever touched on like the heartfelt subjects and have kept it very real and grounded. Second guest: Fun.

Guest

New. Second guest: Fun, new.

Guest

Exciting. Second guest: Exciting.

Guest

Unique. Second guest: Genuine.

Guest

Exciting.

Miranda May

This is what we call a swing set. So it will change week to week. And um like last week, obviously, we had some something to do with some rocks. I can't tell you what, but it's been houses, it's been my director's cabin. That is pretty much our entire set of bunked. I really hope that you guys enjoyed it. I am going to go back and honestly, put some sweats on because it's been a day and I'm in heels and I just want to put on some sweats. Thank you guys for hanging out with me and I will see you soon. Bye.
