Young Hollywood

Welcome to Young Hollywood. com. Hey, it's Joe here on the historic Paramount lot outside stage 30 where we're here to revisit with the doctors. We're here with Dr. Travis Stork. So much has changed since last time we were here. ratings have skyrocketed. How are you feeling about all this?

Dr. Travis Stork

When we started the show, we didn't know what the response was going to be and I think that the four co-hosts, we're just really proud of what we're doing and we love the fact that people like the show. And I think we've proved to people that health can be fun.

Young Hollywood

With everyone trying to reduce expenses these days. How do you stay, you know, within your budget but keep a good health plan, health program.

Dr. Travis Stork

By being healthy, you actually decrease your health budget. You know, a lot of people think that, okay, I can't eat healthy foods because it's more expensive. But it's a lot more expensive to go into the hospital having had a heart attack or if you're suffering from diabetes and end up on medicines the rest of your life. One of the areas that suffers in a down economy is health care. that if people don't have good health insurance, they may not be able to afford seeing a doctor, they may not be able to afford medications. There are options. There are great teaching hospitals where they don't turn patients away.

Young Hollywood

Welcome to the show and. Hi doctor. What's your question today? Um, I'm in my first trimester of pregnancy and with my first two children, I did not have any prenatal testing. Do you have a show that's just really like stuck out to you?

Dr. Travis Stork

I would have to say Joan Rivers because it really was a plastic surgical show and being with her and and making fun of what I do. I've gotten to uh get wrapped up like a mummy. I've they once put me in a lift. I dropped a watermelon off a 30-foot lift and that was kind of fun. we were kind of talking about head injuries and true readers and uh if they fall.

Young Hollywood

How is it balancing TV and and your own practice?

Dr. Travis Stork

It's actually a really fun balance right now. I get, you know, two days of that, two days of this and one day for myself.

Young Hollywood

Where can I find the secret magic potion to live happily ever after?

Dr. Travis Stork

I can make changes on the outside. I can give you tips for your skin. I can reverse aging with fillers and botox, but ultimately what that changes is how you feel about yourself on the inside. You know, I think the beauty of health is it's not so much that there's a magic potion, it's really just a commitment to it.
