What's up, guys? Leslie Robbins here for Young Hollywood, outside IDA, a world-famous dance studio. I am taking you behind the scenes of Dancing With The Stars, with Olympic champ Laurie Hernandez and her partner Val. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and one. So, Laurie, coming to crash your rehearsal, I had to represent. I love it. Now, let's talk about it. You're 16 years old. You own a gold medal, a silver medal. You're on Dancing With The Stars now. And you're only 16. How's it feel?

It feels amazing. I mean, it's nice to know that I was able to train so hard and then it paid off.

Now, it paid off for the medals or to get on Dancing With The Stars?

Both. One, two, kick, back.

Now, because you're so young, what do you tap into to feel that emotion? I mean, there's love, there's heartbreak. You did Michael Jackson. There's some moves in there that kind of adults can tap into. Where are you finding that emotion?

I think that I can just channel that same emotion through different experiences. It's more about a hard day I had at the gym and channeling that emotion. It could be that or like for the salsa, instead of just being all sexy and like going crazy shaking my hips, it was more just thinking of it as a great party and we're having a lot of fun. And I think being able to channel different emotions from different experiences helps the same way.

And how's the training going? I know you're on tour right now.

The routines are completely watered down just because I don't have time to train outside of the tour because I'm also doing Dancing With The Stars. Yeah, like this, and then underneath, like little ducklings. Six, seven, eight. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a little hard, but after this, I mean, we can go on a little vacation with my family and spend some time with them and then just get back into it. Yeah, it's going to be like prep, jump, one and prep, jump. Just marking. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one.

I also know you're a fan of the robot. I have to see it. Yeah. Now, because you're here, this is a Tuesday afternoon, no school. Tell me about school. How are you fitting it in? Where does that?

I did school this morning. I've been home-schooling since third grade. It's very lenient to my schedule. Thank goodness, 'cause I'm always traveling, so I can just take it with me. It's great.

Now, I'm assuming you've never had a boyfriend or you don't have a boyfriend.

Nope.

But I know you have a Hollywood crush.

Yeah. Dave Franco. Gorgeous. But I also sleep with a teddy bear at night, so.

But he actually made a video of you, didn't he?

He did, and his cat was in the video. He had a T-shirt that said something about me on there. I was like, "Why can't I?" I was I thought I was like going to pass out. It was pretty bad.

Well, you can't pass out yet. You're going to dance with Val for me. Oh, yeah, of course. I saw you doing a step before. I want to learn it. What were you doing?
