I am here with Evan Longoria.

How are you?

Having a good time today?

I'm great, thank you.

You're dressed really nice.

It's important, right?

You gotta look good even, even though you play good, you gotta look good.

I think so.

That's uh you know, one thing I definitely pride myself on.

Um, even though it's pretty early in the morning when I came down here, I was uh uh still dressed to impress.

Well you had a, you had a long day yesterday at the All-Star game.

How do you feel about the performance even though it didn't make it?

I feel like our, our organization as a whole, you know, David started the game and um, you know, Carl started and left and we had uh, short, Raphael Soriano came in late and pitched well.

So I thought, you know, as a whole, uh, Tampa Bay Rays represented the organization well.

So you know, actually playing in an All-Star game versus out on the field with your team.

Well how's the chemistry different?

Like how would you describe it to your viewers?

You know, I think there's uh, there's, there's pretty pretty decent team chemistry.

I mean, you know, we're all out there for the same reason.

We all want to win the game and um, have fun doing it, you know, so I I I I enjoyed my time.

I've enjoyed the, you know, my past two All-Star games and um, it's, it's a real, it's a, it's a fun feeling to be out there with all the best players.

Um, and just really enjoy the whole experience.

Now, what do the Rays have to do to actually get to where they want to be in the next half of the season?

Just need to continue to play to the way, the way that we're playing.

I mean, we know that the Yankees are gonna be good the whole year and Boston once they get healthy, you know, they're gonna be uh, a force to be reckoned with also.

So, um, just keep worrying about what we can control and and um, you know, go out there and have fun.

Go out there and have fun.

Now, you're gonna be here at the ESPYs.

So what are you most excited to see for this year?

Um, I like to, I like seeing all the the athletes that I don't get a chance to watch too much, you know, last year I got to see uh Kobe and um, you know, Luke Walton, I got to talk to, you know, a bunch of the the celebrity actors and actresses that are around.

I mean, um, I don't get to, to watch a lot of TV and see those people firsthand.

So it's, it's cool to, to be at an event like this and hang out with them.

What's your sport then if you were to watch any other sport besides baseball?

Uh, golf, I watch a lot of golf.

I have a couple, couple guys that are, couple good friends that are on the tour so I, I like to watch them play and um, when I, in the offseason, I, I went to a lot of hockey games.

Tampa, so hockey.

I mean I, I play fantasy football, so I'm, I'm a football guy.

So, what are your Yahoo picks for this year?

For what?

Fantasy football.

Geez, is it, is it that close already?

We're almost there.

Well I picked uh, my, I, I got the second pick in my draft last year and I took Michael Turner, um, which didn't, it didn't really work out for me too, too, too well.

Uh, he had a couple good weeks, but um, I think my, my pick to click this year would be um, probably Jones Drew.

Okay.

So, he's, he was my favorite player to watch last year and I didn't have him on my team.

He, I think he beat me, he beat me twice at least.
