Young Hollywood

Young Hollywood

But something doesn't feel right.

Young Hollywood

So give me just one second.

Young Hollywood

Well, I am all Burtoned up.

Young Hollywood

I feel good.

Young Hollywood

I'm ready to hit the slopes.

Young Hollywood

Now I just got to go meet my coach.

Young Hollywood

Who knows a thing or two about snowboarding.

Young Hollywood

So, we're here with Mark, who's just a modest man, I'm just kidding.

Mark Sollors

I'm just a modest person.

Mark Sollors

It's like, oh, you're a pro snowboarder.

Mark Sollors

It's like, well, I just snowboard.

Mark Sollors

I'm just lucky enough to get to snowboard.

Young Hollywood

So tell me a little bit about how you got into snowboarding.

Mark Sollors

I think everyone gets in the same way.

Mark Sollors

They either follow a friend in, or follow a brother in or a sister in and you just get to get to try on a hill and before you know it you're hooked.

Young Hollywood

Now how long did it take you to actually be good?

Mark Sollors

I don't know, it took a long time.

Mark Sollors

I mean, I started when I was eight and it was just kind of a hobby that we did when I was younger and before I knew it, I had a shop sponsor, I had a grew with Burton and it was just like, I don't like to say I'm good.

Mark Sollors

I just, I just get to snowboard.

Young Hollywood

Now, how did it feel to win Rookie of the Year, the TransWorld Rookie of the Year?

Mark Sollors

That was huge.

Mark Sollors

I don't even think, I don't even think I saw that coming.

Mark Sollors

I mean, we had like, I was so fortunate to have a really good year in 2010.

Mark Sollors

We filmed uh, with TransWorld for More in Color, uh, Burton gave me huge opportunities to go out and film with them and do this stuff and it just it just came together at the end of the year.

Mark Sollors

I didn't even know I was sitting on a video part in a season that was that good, I guess.

Mark Sollors

And then there was like award season, all this like nominees came in and all this and I was like, I got like ninth rider of the year and I was just like, how is this happening?

Mark Sollors

Like, I was just snowboarding and then, yeah.

Mark Sollors

And then I was on stage before I knew it.

Young Hollywood

Now, I know that they told you that um, you know, um, I'm a That you're very talented and you were gonna go have a great day on doing double black diamonds and through the park.

Young Hollywood

But that's not the case, is it?

Mark Sollors

No, no, it's not at all the case.

Mark Sollors

It's uh, it'll be my first time on the bunny slopes in a long time.

Mark Sollors

So I think we're kind of newly going to have some fun.

Young Hollywood

Well, I hope I don't put Burton to shame today.

Young Hollywood

So if you're ready, I'm ready to go hit the bunny slopes.

Mark Sollors

We'll call them the man, the the many slopes, the manly slopes.

Young Hollywood

We call it the Playboy bunny slopes?

Young Hollywood

Okay.

Young Hollywood

That would that would make me feel way more confident.

Young Hollywood

Playboy bunny slopes, let's go.

Mark Sollors

So you say you're a rookie?

Mark Sollors

They told me you were good.

Mark Sollors

But we're gonna go out, we're gonna teach you some stuff because I want you to do an ollie like a real person.

Young Hollywood

I don't know what I'm doing.

Mark Sollors

You're doing pretty good for not knowing what you're doing.

Young Hollywood

Is it tight enough?

Mark Sollors

I don't know, let's find out.

Mark Sollors

That's what she said.

Young Hollywood

How do you feel?

Young Hollywood

Like I'm gonna bust my ass.

Mark Sollors

Don't worry, you're on the bunny hill, you can't really go that far.

Young Hollywood

Okay.

Young Hollywood

Okay.

Mark Sollors

Until you start moving, I'm not gonna let go.

Young Hollywood

Oh, what is this?

Mark Sollors

That's the bunny hill for you.

Young Hollywood

Perfect.

Young Hollywood

I'm not going.

Mark Sollors

Okay, so clearly you can go forward and you can stand up.

Mark Sollors

I'm gonna teach you an ollie.

Mark Sollors

Super basic.

Mark Sollors

You said you skateboard, right?

Young Hollywood

Yes.

Mark Sollors

Okay.

Mark Sollors

So, pretty much you just load up your tail and you jump.

Young Hollywood

One for the time.

Young Hollywood

Yeah.

Mark Sollors

Are you ready?

Young Hollywood

Yes.

Mark Sollors

Let's do it.

Mark Sollors

Your job is not to hit kids.

Young Hollywood

I don't make any promises.

Young Hollywood

Oh god.

Young Hollywood

I'm gonna have this on like.

Mark Sollors

So you're not going to go to sleep to watching you hit kids.

Mark Sollors

Get ready.

Young Hollywood

Yes.

Young Hollywood

Oh, I got this.

Mark Sollors

She is gonna fall.

Young Hollywood

I can't go.

Young Hollywood

Why am I moving?

Young Hollywood

Get down the hill.

Young Hollywood

I'm trying to go down the hill.

Young Hollywood

I can't get down the freaking hill.

Young Hollywood

All right, well, I just want to say with Southern charm, thank you so much for taking me out on the Playboy bunny slope.

Mark Sollors

The bunny slope, yeah.

Mark Sollors

Thanks for trying and not being a baby about it.

Young Hollywood

Thank you.

Young Hollywood

Cheers to the thing.

Mark Sollors
