Sometimes we forget it, yeah.
Forget it, yeah. Do people ever call you Anton Apollo Ono?
Oh yeah, I get out there. You're the Anton Apollo Ono guy, right? You're that dancer, right? I'm like kind of that dancer. I was a speed skater, Olympic athlete. Anyway.
Are you having a good time here at the suite?
I'm having a good time. This is like uh it's like our pre-Oscar like swag bag deal. It's fun, yeah.
Yeah right? I know. You're no stranger to the Hollywood scene. You know, of course dancing with the stars. You know how it goes.
It's fun. It's fun. It's a different it's a definitely a big departure from sports, but it's a good time.
Congratulations on the success that you've had. I mean, you are the most decorated American winter Olympic person in the world. Like how do you feel about that?
That's pretty crazy, you know, the most. It's It's a Yeah, it's it's a very cool title. I never when I first started skating, I was never shooting for to beat anybody's records or be associated with anybody like that, but I mean, I do my I did my sport because I love it and it was close to my heart, so it's it feels good.
Um, I know and the funny thing too is that the Winter Olympics this year, I feel like a lot more a lot of more people were actually involved in it and got to learn what you guys did and I appreciated it. How do you feel about the way the sport has grown as far as speed skating?
I'm I'm very happy about it. I mean, you know, speed skating in the United States is very small. Um, but as you saw like with World Cup soccer. I mean, other obscure sports in the US are starting to garner more attention and hopefully the same thing will happen with short track and We've been lucky enough to be able to have some spotlight shown on it every four years at the Olympic Games and it is something that's special. And for me, the Olympic Games is something that's very special to my heart, so I've been very blessed and very lucky to be able to perform and represent my country the way I have.
And do you expect to We expect to see you in the next Olympics coming up?
I'll be there.
You'll be there.
I just don't know if I'll have my skates with me or not. I haven't made the decision yet, but I'll be there.
Well, without the skates, what can we see you doing?
Well, have one of these. Maybe you can interview me. Hey. Try it. Your eyeliner. Tell me where you got it from and how do you design it? How do you refuel after a workout? What is your post-recovery workout drink of choice?
Oh, I don't know. Maybe Vitamin Water. Hmm. It's good. Revive. It's good. Oh, so funny. How do you revive after after a after a competition?
How do I revive? I just I I'm I totally chill. Yeah. 24 hours after, I need to like decompress cuz I so much of my mind is like focused toward something and, you know, a long break, so. Yeah. Tell him about reviving. That's right. I think you're good at this.
Am I? I'm interviewing right now. Okay. Okay, ask me a question.
Where are you from? Tell us where you're from, what you represent, what college you went to, and where do you want to be 10 years from now.
Oh wow. Okay, I'm from Orange County. I live in LA now. Okay. Um, I went to school at Cal State Fullerton. And in 10 years, I'd like to be doing what I'm doing right now.
Oh, wow, see? A woman who knows what she wants to do, who's doing it right now. Very independent. Yes. Hungry, striving, for what she wants to do. Very cool. Yes, yes. I I respect that. I like that. Cool. You're good at this. This is going to be the the retirement job. I can see you being on camera doing.
Yeah, that's that's the goal. That's the goal.
