Hey guys, it's Michelle Marie. We are here with Nick, Chris, and Mike of the All-American Rejects and today is the release of When the World Comes Down. How excited are you guys and pumped for today?

I'll tell you how excited we are. We all just bought the record.

Really?

Yes, we did. It's the first thing we did once we rolled out of bed.

It's the third album. You guys have released two others that have been very successful. Move Along went double platinum and to me, you guys basically reached a whole another level with pop rock music. for you just as well, but gives you Now, how are the sounds on this new album a little bit different from your previous albums?

Unlike previous records, we recorded each song one at a time, you know, we got guitar sounds one at a time. We didn't just, you know, go, okay, that's one. Let's keep it for the rest of the record. Going through this whole process, because we're all kind of just experienced all these same things together, you know, the six months in the studio, going to New Orleans together, going to getting to go to Skywalker Ranch, all the bad and the good right there.

Now, All-American Rejects, who came up with that name and what is your definition of an All-American Reject?

It really doesn't mean anything. We thought we were a punk band in junior high and it just kind of stuck.

Do you guys see yourself crossing over or collaborating with any other genres?

There's no need for others usually. And so, you know, if someday we need some guy to kind of half talk sing over something or add a. We did however on this record write a song as a duet. Um Tyson had the idea to actually act out a fight in the lyrics between himself and a significant other. Like for real, you know, two mics facing each other in a room. It was real and organic which kind of, you know, has been a recurring theme in the making of this album.

Gives You Hell is your first single on this album. What's the meaning behind the title of the song?

You know, it's passion. It's applicable to anyone you hate or want to see have a hard time, you know, passion's passion I guess.

What is one experience that you guys can say is your most memorable or your most interesting fan experience?

We do have this one fan who's father owns a bakery and every time she comes to your show, she brings us some sort of a sorted bakery product with our faces on it.
