Young Hollywood

Young Hollywood. We have Scott Russo from Unwritten Law. How are you doing?

Scott Russo

Very good. How are you doing? You can't save me. You can't change me. Well, I'm waiting for my. Everything. Everything's my fault.

Young Hollywood

So you've collaborated with Big B before, and now you're doing another collaboration. Can you tell us about that?

Scott Russo

Yeah, yeah, we uh, we did a song like about a year and a half ago. We were partying in this hotel in Vegas in the middle of our festivities. We were talking about doing some music together. He called me. I came to his studio, we wrote a song in about 30 minutes. It was on the radio like a month and a half later. It's pretty crazy how the whole thing happened.

Young Hollywood

So tell us what the new song, does it does it sound like the last single that you guys did together or is it different?

Scott Russo

No, everyone else who collaborated on his record tried to make their song sound like mine, last one. Ah. Yeah, yeah. So on this, so on this one, I like, I heard, I was the last one to come in on the record. I heard all their songs. I'm like, everyone's trying to stomp on mine. So then I, so then I, um,

Young Hollywood

Did you come up with some new?

Scott Russo

Oh, it's a next level. Dude. Next level. Yeah, I like, I put like four choruses in a row. So like there's no way that anyone's gonna touch this stuff. Don't even try to touch it. Can't touch this. Sorry.

Young Hollywood

I know you have an album coming out soon.

Scott Russo

Yes, ma'am. I have a, I have a record called Swan coming out with my band Unwritten Law in January. On Suburban Noize, Sony Red, so definitely check that out. It's been a year and a half making that. Put all of my heart and soul into it. 13-hour days for a year and a half and yeah, it's just Next level. You won't be able. Yeah. Very, very next level.

Young Hollywood

Another thing that's pretty next level is you're letting your fans pick some of the artwork for for the album.

Scott Russo

We're actually letting our fans make the artwork for the record. Like, you know, we've been a band for a very long time and our fans have stuck with us the whole for like, you know, we're almost two decades now. And so like, for this record, we this really is the heart and soul of Unwritten Law, this record is musically. And we wanted to make sure everyone has a piece of this. So everyone turns in, everyone's gonna turn in artwork and we're gonna pick the best one and that's gonna be the cover for Swan. Unfortunately, like the golden ticket, only one person can win, so, yeah. I already won, guys. Don't even submit. My stick figures blew it out of the water, right?

Young Hollywood

That's the one that's the one we got.

Scott Russo

Yeah, that's the one, yeah. That's the one we got, actually.

Young Hollywood

Oh, well I'm really excited for your next level.

Scott Russo

Yeah, so am I. It's gonna be so next level. And you can't touch it. Ever. Ever, forever. Hey, what's up? This is Scott Russo from Unwritten Law, and you're hanging out with Young Hollywood, and so am I.
